Been working with these plants for 44 days now, into the first couple days of 12/12.

Ill catch everyone up!

DAY 3
I have just sprouted two el nino from green house. talk about seed vigour, drop them in water for 24 hours wednesday, planted thurday night in rockwool and they are up with there first set of true leaves just starting to pop out. The true leaves are about 4 mm long. I have took the dome off and they are under 100watts of 3000k cfls with plain water.

3 days ago I took my nutes from 600ppm to 1200 ppm and lifted my light 12" and turned it up to 1000watts, I also added 250 ml of 3% h202 and change my water timer to 5 miuntes on for every hour off and heres what I got after one light cycle. BUT only on one of two plants

Day 1 of leaf damage

After finding the damage I dropped the 800ppm and gave a quick 5.7ph pure water flush to both plants rockwool and resumed the pump feed.

Day 2 of leaf damage

the first two pic's are of the original girl with the leaf damage, which has now spread to the second set of leaves. The third picture is the other girl which is now showing yellowing or bleaching in her low fan leaves.

My temps have always been high in the room 28-32 but this has just taken hold since the nute change. Next thing to consider is the nute are probably 2 years old, advanced sensi grow A & B and B-52 was all that was used and ph down.

This morning i took drastic action and change the rez to straight ph pure water and opened up the feed cylce to 5 min every 1 1/2 hour.

Well my frustration with my plants in hingeing on your opinions.

I can't get these babies to move forward they're 22 days old and they haven't grown in the last ten. I think I stunted them with excessive nute but just cant be sure. They are showing signs of Nitrogen def. but there's no reason they should, they are on a 1/4 strenght nute cycle because of there size,. Ph is good, temps are ok, light is good. Still they refuse to GROW!!

LET'S HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS

1. CUT THE BITCHES

2. FORCE FEED THEM FULL STRENGHT NUTES

3. WAIT FOR SOMETHING TO CHANGE?

4. ????????????????????????????

THIS IS WHAT FRUSTRATION LOOKS LIKE

El nino

Ok, so last night I took the nutes up to 1600ppm in the res using the Advance lineup, added 100ml Bid bud, 50ml B-52 and 50ml each of Sensi bloom A and B.

Topped up the res with 12L of water and and PH'd to 5.7

Im gettting fluctuation in the res Ph which is new since i switched to flower so the are definitely drinking differently, I am a bit cautious when it comes to pushing this strain hard on the nutes, they seem very sensitve to change and as you know i have already burnt them once.

The small one in the middle still has not put roots down to the water in the bottom of the buck and thats holding her back.

Train Wreck & Sweet Diesal

Gave a strong feeding to the both teh dirty plants, 5-1-1, and 0-10-10 organic fish ferts, and Advanced cal mag bloom, big bud and b-52

Now the dirt grow is a first for me so im expection that i might run into a few bump. I PH tested my water solution after i added the ferts knowing i had a PH problem fromt the last feeding, which i though was a high PH problem but believe it or not when i tested my solution it was 2.45 PH:oops:

Ya I sure did give my plant the last drink with a lighter but similar solution:wall:
oh well live and learn, got it right this time 6.5 PH is what I settled on

The train wrech really smells great and is the only skunky smelling plant of the bunch.

The Sweet D is showing first signs of flowering

El nino is still streching, and looks cool, I tied the two big ones down in veg and let some of the shouts catch up to the main and now I have a canopy with 4 or five leaders shouts on both plants, that a first for me.

Anyway here's what they look like today

Snapped these pic's the other day just before the light turned on for all to see, the hps kinda yellows them out. You can really see the different here between hydro and dirt grows, I wish I would have done a dirt El nino to even out the playing field

I'm feeling pretty fucking good about these bitches!!!

Looking to pull 450G's, thats .6 grams per watt.

they probably need more veg time but hey time will tell I guess

Peace

Starting to see small sighs of flowering.

The only plant not fem, is Sweet D, which is fine it showing female parts, however in the last day I have also seen what could be a male part starting to emerge:sad:

I also found out the sweet D doesnt like a heavy feeding, she showed signs of chemcal burn after this weeks feed, I had to flush her out two days ago.

El nino is streching out, which is great it was to short and stocky The middle El nino still hasn't put any roots down into the water in the bottom of the bucket. Once that happens I expect her to tke off.

El nino has a great crisp citrus fregrence.
Train wreck is skuny
Sweet D, is a light fresh sweet smell

Here's a picture update

Well today is good and bad news.

I have three healthy plant, one struggling and a fuckin hermie.

Two El nino are flowering nicely, they have a very odd smell, I call it cat piss lol but theres no way a cat has been in my grow room.

The Sweet D grow a single ball, not a bunch but just one tiny ball, what a piss off! check the pics, I know there shitty but thats the best i could get. Maybe you could give me your input, should i chop her? I have patients expecting me to deliver high quality so seeds just wont due. Im a health canada Designated Grower

I got myself an aerogarden to use a a veg chamber so I can crop faster, hope it works good.

here are the pics, have a great day!

And then there was 4. I cut the Sweet D down last night, hermie genetics what a pissoff.

Train wreck is growing great guns, feed straight ph'd water Sunday, she took the first feed like a champ and I plan to give her another heavy feed this coming sunday.

El nino is running at 1100ppm again. The past week I took it up from 1200ppm to 1450ppm and by the end of the week I was at 1600+ so I backed them up, no need to waste. They look great, big bushy plants with lots of bud sites. Pruning is defenatly crossing my mind, but it is said El Nino doesn't take pruning well so I will leave it for now.

The youngest El nino is really having a problem putting the roots down past the rockwool, it looks like it wants to put the roots down to the water but they keep drying up before the reach the water. This has baffled me considering both the others had no problem. I also increased the watering frequency thinking this would help keep the hanging root moist but no help.
H202 seems to help a bit, I guess i will pump it into the res for as week and see how it goes.

Peace

Here are some pictures of whats going on

Red Deer-20120704-00041.jpg

As you can see the El nino is starting to produce some nice nugs, she is a light eater running at 1180 ppm right now and seems very happy. I have had this Train Wreck strain up to 1900ppm in hydro. I like that its cheaper on the nutes. Speaking of nutes, I switched over to PH perfect Advanced Sensi bloom a and b and have seen no difference in PH control, its still jumping up from 5.7 - 5.9 everyday and having to correct it with PH down

I have moved my light way up so the elnino will streach a bit shes really bushy right now, I also turned the light up to 1000w.
I have to keep an eye on my room temps to make sure the 1000watts doesnt over heat the room, we are at 29 with the 750 watts, so im expecting a couple degree increase, I am running c02 and that seems to help with the high temps.

Other then that things are looking GOOD!!

Peace

Where did you get your Trainwreck? I'm 35 days into flower on the Trainwreck from Homegrown Fantaseeds. So far it's been a pleasure to grow, and the buds are starting to fatten up.

I got it from a B.C. breeder that fell off the net last year, the site shut down, think it was called bcseeds? Anyway its decent.

Thought I would share my mutant leaf I found this morning. It's growing a new leaf blade over the big middle blade, I love it! I think the plant is rewarding me saying "thanks for all you great care you taking of me" lol. Two day and another big update, buds are starting to look really tasty
