Are you planning to wire in a sub panel from the main panel?
That is what we did...longest box we could find 40 space.
We were running 5200w in room 1 with a 2ton window a/c.
Room 2 had for veg. 3800w and a ton and a half a/c
All started on 120v ballast, but we had problems blowing breakers,so we changed them out to 240v ballast to reduce amp draw.

ps...we ran into tier 5 pge rates...36 cents kw...2200 per month

I have normal 110 digital dimmable ballast but they say they are 240 compatible if i buy a flip box that is 240 do i need to change any plugs or wiring to use the same ballasts i have been using?
You'll have to buy 240v power cords for your ballast. Plug them in. Done.
