Why this specific light?
Reasons for this light
1. Fits my tent size 1.5x3x5 feet
2. Internet reviews seem pretty good
3. Dimmable
4. Price is good vs competition at 200W@$461 delivered.
I was mainly after some feedback from someone who has or is still using them before I pulled the trigger.
Do you have any info or any other options worth looking at?

Here we go... es180v3 let's see how she performs. Currently 7 days from sprout I'm noticing some of the serated edges curling up. Wondering if this is caused from light intensity does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers

You will want to run that light at about 200 par for seedlings.

If I didnt have a par meter.. I'd prob run that light at about 35% on the dimmer & see how she does.

I know it's not ideal but I have a lux meter on my phone currently sitting at 10500 going off a few other posts I've read this should be ok?
Honestly bro - I don't know much about Lux, but there are quite a few here in the community that will have that answer.

I'd start a new thread and just ask.

The es180 is a killer light, for that small of space - I would think it would be in your best interest to find out the lux/par value.

Yeah I found a website that showed a few tables but they were all light type specific so cant really compare mine confidently as the lux/par levels were all different for each light. Will start a new post and see how I go.

Imo I prefer par measurements .. prob cuz I already spent the money on a meter lol ..
but there are quite a few exp growers that use Lux just fine.
Good luck, brother.

Lux is visible light seen my humans...par is much better because the the PAR stands for photosynthetically active radiation...so basically the amount of light that is usable by plants...

Now I could be wrong on this second part but you can use a lux meter BUT it has to calibrated by a par meter in order to do this..IDK not something I could stand firm on...

BUT I'm sure the green sunshine company has already done all the math for you. Look on their website or in the manual they gave you and it should have the appropriate light distance needed for seedlings which is usually like 36 inches...
