Hi , I have a 1000W hps but i dont want to use a 1000, if for example i buy a 150w bulb will it be ok or will my electricity bill still be the same with the 1000w bulb ?

Of course your electricity bill won't be the same.

Thanks , So logically any ballast could hold any bulb ?

Nope.

Match the bulb to the ballast.

are you sayin you have a 1000w ballast????? if ya try and put anything smaller in it will blow the bulb unless you have a digital ballast that you can switch

Ok i get it , i'll check it out cuz my friend is supposed to drop it of and all he told is that its a 1000w light

a 1000 watt llight will use about 9.3 amps while a 150 will use abotu 1.7 amps so u can do the math figure out how many hrs it ll be on and u can see how much it will cost.
