Hey,
I moved into an older house with a free standing garage. It has one 30 amp powersource coming into the building that comes in and appears to have been split off so that there is still a 30 amp powersource with a dryer style plug and one 15 amp line that comes from the same source. I am just getting my small 4x4 area set up and only have seedlings right now but I keep tripping my powerstrip even though there is only a large flourescent T5, and a small heater plugged in and running. There are other things plugged in but none running. My question is this; how do I harness the power coming through the 30 amp with the dryer plug into more useable energy(2 prong normal plugins). I am only going to be using a digital 1000W that I would like to run off 240 but not required. plus a 750W LED that uses little energy, a fan, and heater for the time being, and possibly a dehumidifier later on. Do I need a contoller? Thanks for the help. I am handy but have little experience with electricity. Was hoping for a plug and play solution.
