Elons Little Plan

releasing an under braked vehicle and charging 15K for brakes that are actually up to the job?....Do i have to tell anyone that that is horseshit?
Where are the regulators? If Elon can get away with this shit, others car makers will try too, will the EU ban Tesla's over braking issues? Somebody might nail them with safety recalls that could bankrupt them or fuck their customers. Elon has no dealer network to deal with this stuff as far as I know. He is trashing his reputation among likely customers just as a ton of other options are coming online and EV sales are taking off. If Joe wanted to fuck the asshole his government could probably trigger a safety recall that would break them, there seem to be plenty of safety related things they could go after and with no dealer network...

he didn't do anything really illegal...i'm sure the vehicles meet the minimum required to avoid fines and/or legal action, but that doesn't mean they're even close to optimal, or really safe, just safe on paper, which is enough to absolve muck of legal liability.
Electric motors are torquey, and provide very quick take offs. Most people are not used to that, nor are they used to being able to reach 60 in 2 or 3 seconds. They would be much better off with much better brakes, but as far as legality goes, i can't see everyone at tesla knowingly releasing a vehicle that doesn't meet the minimum required specs.

They don't appear to have a dealer network, so if they end up getting a recall I dunno how they will address it and Elon is a risk taker, as long as others are at risk! I don't see him first in line for his brain implant or for the first trip to Mars. According to some people here with experience, his solar roofs are junk. As we have witnessed his takeover of Twitter shows he is capable of epic fuckups while his posts demonstrate that the world's greediest man is really not that smart, just pathologically narcissistic and ruthless.

Elon is looking more like Donald every day, he doesn't seem to get it. His wealth appears to be the result of luck, utter callousness and extreme greed, more than actual smarts. A smart person with that much money would concentrate on enjoying life, knowing that money is merely a means to do this and not an end in of itself. Pleasure most often comes from external objects and is ephemeral, happiness comes from our relationship with ourselves and others, so does depression.

BREAKING: Elon Musk gets more devastating news as iconic ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s releases a brutal public statement attacking him and announcing that it is ending ALL of its paid advertising on Twitter.

Setting its sights on the Twitter owner, Ben & Jerry’s accuses Musk of “doubling down on dangerous anti-democratic lies and white nationalist hate speech, of “making changes that have led to an increase in hate speech,” and of “tacitly endorsing hate and violence.”

Ben and Jerry’s also declared that, “Hate speech is up dramatically on Twitter while content moderation has become all but non-existent” under Musk.

They ended their devastating statement by calling “on all businesses and partners to do the same” and hit Elon Musk where it hurts him the most.

Please retweet and ❤ to thank Ben & Jerry’s for bravely standing up to Musk — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new Twitter competitor that is exploding in popularity because Elon Musk banned Tribel’s Twitter account — but he forgot to ban this link to download the new Tribel app: http://tribel.app.link/okwPIHYCIqb

being good at accumulating wealth doesn't make you good at anything else in the world. It doesn't give you insights into anything but accumulating wealth. It doesn't grant you empathy, compassion, intelligence, common sense, or enlightenment...muck is an emotionally, socially stunted midget with a trick he does pretty well....but he keeps trying to learn new tricks, and failing miserably. If an asshole like him wants to help the world, he should withdraw from direct interaction, and practice some philanthropic donation. Any direct interaction he has with ANYTHING isn't going to be beneficial.
