How are you gonna cool those lights? $20 aint alot to get a grow going. A small oscilating fan will cost that alone.

I would think most any porcelin (sp?) lampholders would handle it I know i have seen y-splitters with 2-100 watt incandescant bulbs. I would suggest try it when you can keep your eye no them Im not saying you have to sit there in the room all day but maybe check every few hours and see if it is getting hot. I am not an electrician nor do i claim to be one but i would think if the y-socket is not hot after 12 or 18 hours on then the 6 or 12 hours should be enough to cool it off... Im not sure though because i am more of an experiment orientated person. good luck why not buy another lamp ? the clamp ones which are nice for positioning and offer a good amount of reflectivity only cost 5.88 for the 8.5 inch reflector 9.77 for the 10" reflector both include plug 6-10 foot cord and the lampholder I suggest (from experience) the 10" a little more footprint the 8.5" are fine for side lighting and getting into places that do not receive enough light.

Head down to your local thrift shop and convert a lamp...There is usually something that can work for ya in good ol' junk shop...
