How do you like the light?
Actually it’s doing better than I thought it would,i was sceptical about it covering a 4x4 area, and indeed it is.I have one plant in there that’s not from seed,it’s a clone(bandit breathe) I’ve grown for a while and it’s finishing faster than it ever has before.so far so good I am happy!

I'm a Canadian looking at LED options for my 4x4x8 Gorilla tent. Im leaning heavily toward the equinox, I understand they have recently updated the dimmer and knob on the 1000. Also considering the hlg 550 red board. I like the thermal heat management, dimmer and 5 year warranty with the equinox, and also the fact it is made in Canada. If anyone can offer any advise to make my decision easier, I'd be very appreciative. I'm new to growing inside, but have been growing outside for a few years now.

I'm worried about the heat off the hlg 550 and think the the equinox will be best for my first light. I understand that a diy kit can be cheaperoption but I'm not confident enough yet to build my own, although that may be an option down the line.. Any and all help/advise kindly accepted! Thank you!

I’d go with the equinox, I like the dimming feature,as well as the warranty too,and the fact that it’s made here in Canada makes it a better choice,I like to support my local businesses when possible,89B8DE35-FCC0-4106-8B11-A8481B94F32F.jpeg533453F0-B1D8-42D2-B5E8-78AA92C9238E.jpegF84B6639-18C1-4E42-AA8A-79BB47666D72.jpegF84B6639-18C1-4E42-AA8A-79BB47666D72.jpeg09D52C2A-BFF5-43EA-B101-CBC05B3230FF.jpeg

Hey thanks Flash! Is there anything you don't like about it? How is it for heat in the tent compared to the hlg? Are there any positives for the hlg vs equinox in your opinion? Thx again and your plants look beautiful :)

Check out bc blondes, canadian company with good products. Both bc blondes annd hlg 550 would beat out the equinox specs; its basiclly 3qbs of diodes, standard bin. Not sure how the price points are.

Both hlg and bc blondes should feature dimming

This is a 8x4 with 2 game changers iirc.

Their boards are red supplemented and they have looooads of diodes. Almost overkill for a 4x4 tent but you can allways dim them a bit. Aprox 50w per square foot at full. Price seems on point, not aure if its cd$ or us.
