Evaporative Cooler for humidity

Hey I am thinking about adding an evaporative cooler to my grow room because I am having chronically low humidity. Or am I better off just going with an ultrasonic humidifer?

my thoughts on an evaporative cooler is that it would never raise the RH too far out of range cuz they suck at high RH. So even if a humidty controller failed it couldn't go wild and raise the RH out of control. So I figured it would could get me up to 60RH max. During the day cycle. I've never used one before so I dunno if it would mess things up at night or if just turning off the fan on it is enough to stop it's evaporation etc.

Any thoughts?

Get an Inkbird or other humidity controller to go with the cooler, I've used a Hessaire cooler that you can hook up to the water supply, they make a bunch of them.

That's the exact one I was looking at. Ya I would run it off a sonoff humidty controller for whenever it hit levels I want. Do you know if you need RO water or if it will clog if I have high PPM high hardness tap water?

It'll crust up eventually, I've run on hard tap water for over a year and it still works. I think you can put acidic water in it, run it, and syphon it out to clean that. I haven't done a cleaning yet, probably should though.
