Also I think the price fell through the floor because everybody and their mom tried to start a commercial op when states started going legal. More supply than demand equals low prices. I imagine about half of those ops will go under within the next few years. We'll see prices stabilize eventually. You can't sell product for less than it costs to produce for long...

I think with big pharma getting involved we will see huge outdoor production and prices continuing to drop.
Small growers may still have a market much like boutique breweries do if of cause Pharma and the feds don't crack down on them.
Growers in legal states are still having their assets seized.

A friend has some high quality shake. And doesn't want to make oil.
He was thinking of rolling joints for sale at local music fests and gatherings. For $1 or $2.
We need people like that. Almost giving the stuff away. To H with the legal sellers.

No, due to the confiscation laws people who have had their cases dropped or found innocent are still loosing assets.

And that's fantastic for you. Big Pharma and the tobacco industry will start large scale agriculture when its federally legal. They have already gotten the green light and are growing in Australia for export to the US (that was fast tracked ) for "medical". Big pharma controls the legal medical grows here and are the only ones permitted to grow legally.

When farmers in the states start growing hectares of it for the tobacco and pharm industries then the price will drop down to those of any other easily grown crop. But it will need to be federally legal for that to happen.

I think its great that the laws are working for you. But your laws wouldn't work for me and don't pretend that its the law that most were after. Decriminalization would of been better and just treated as another flower/vegetable/herb would of been better still for the majority, but again due to the falling price not good for me.

Its still illegal federally and a schedule 1 drug. Until its not then the future is uncertain.

I'm happy its still illegal here in Aus. Can stay that way!

All the things you wouldn't do for secrecy purposes, you can now Do
Nah, imo, discretion will always be the rule due to rippers and shitbags that think because you grow, you must sell, and are a worthy target for a robbery.

I think legalization is great for the home grower just trying to produce their own weed by growing a few small crops a year, however, it's going to be a nightmare for those that try to do it for a living. Look at what's happening on the west coast now: surplus of growers, surplus of available weed, regulations that will be put in place squeezing out small scale business in favor of large scale corporate production, taxation, fee's, and licensing costs out the ass.

Soon, there's going to be a lot of west coast growers working for monsanto, RJ Reynolds, and other huge corporations that are going to bribe the politicians to enact legislation driving the little man right out of the business because they can't afford to compete with big corrupt business.

Not really. I don't worry a bit.
Others will help me out if some doofus takes my plants.
Having more than 1 grow helps too.

If they are robbing me the maybe that will be their last job....

I don't give a chit about money. Otherwise id work full time. I just like the little easy extra for next to 0 risk. Even if I was busted id get maybe a $600 fine and that's it, I don't live in "lock em up America."
If it became legal here and the price dropped like it has there and an Oz was worth $100...it aint worth growing to me and id lose that little extra I make from my hobby.

I don't think anyone in Aus has ever had a 3 year term for pot. Not that ive heard of anyway..thats a big sentence.

As I said, I'm glad it works for you but I don't want to see your laws here, just like I didn't/don't want to see the sentences you get there here.

We won this war... There must be retribution for the anti-pot folks and restitution for all those that were in any way penalized for their good fight.
Every government and their armies and police and propagandists couldn't stop Us. Good going

What? You want us to have your prison terms here? or I must care about money cause I grow a little bit of pot? if its cause I grow a little bit of pot then I could earn more spending less time working. At $100 an oz. that's what an hr and a bits wages? No worth growing at that, in a small grow like mine anyways. Its just a hobby I enjoy that brings in a little extra.

If its about its illegal so we should have harsher prison terms then I strongly disagree. We don't have the lock em up mentality that is in the States.

Yup anybody that wants pot to remain illegal for their personal gain... Isn't a PotHead Nope. Just an assholes.
Welcome new member!

Well if "pot heads" didn't want to buy it people wouldn't sell it.

Lots of people who grow it are complaining about the price drops and the market saturation. Both legal and illegal growers.

When it is legal I'll toke where ever and when ever I like.
Except where tobacco can't be smoked.
Right now it is skulking around day and night.
Sure don't want that to still be the case when I'm in the old folks home.
Dang I'm there now.

If consumers lower their standards they won't mind smoking commercial outdoor weed and saving money. It will be like buying a pack of marlboros. People that have money and enjoy good flavor will always pay more. When I can buy good tasting weed for $100/oz I will gladly quit growing.
