You'd think they might drop the sales tax on things that would help those who need help. Stuff like healthy food, baby stuff, medicines etc but if you can get a cheap gun and ammo then I guess you can get that stuff for free if you really need it. :(

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has changed her position on the public release of the tapes documenting the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, warning Friday that their release could “put the security of the Capitol at risk.”

Greene said in an interview on the right-wing channel Real America’s Voice that releasing the video footage publicly would jeopardize the Capitol’s security and endanger those who were present at the Capitol grounds but did not enter the Capitol nor commit crimes.

“And this is our real concern with the video tapes. If we released these video tapes just widely for the public — number one, we put the security of the Capitol at risk because there’s over 1,700 video cameras,” she said.

“Number two, we also endanger many Americans that were simply standing on the Capitol grounds, maybe never even walked through the Capitol or committed any crimes, but they could have just walked further than where the barrier was simply because the barrier was torn down by the time they got there,” Greene continued.

She said she is concerned about left-wing groups that would use facial-recognition technology to identify those seen in the videos to “hand them over” to the FBI and Justice Department. She said that some people committed violence and broke the law and should be held accountable, but many others were only present and did not commit crimes.
“Sedition Hunters would spend every second of every day analyzing the videos in order to hunt innocent people that just stood on Capitol grounds on J6,” Greene later tweeted.

Greene has previously called for the public release of the tapes so “everyone knows what did or didn’t happen.”

She announced on Wednesday that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) planned to release the tapes to three outlets that would receive “unfettered access.” She said two of the recipients of the tapes would be Just the News founder John Solomon, who interviewed Greene on Friday, and American Greatness senior writer Julie Kelly.

McCarthy released 44,000 hours of footage to former Fox News host Tucker Carlson earlier this year, yielding criticism from Democrats who argued that it could put Capitol security procedures at risk and allow Carlson, who has downplayed the violence from the attack, to distort what happened.

It's people claiming to be Christians who are doing the book banning, but they don't realize their book can be banned too, if they bothered to read it, they would know this. I'm waiting for the book of Moron to be next on the chopping block, that should go over well in Utah. It often works like that when they use the law to get the "other".

Most of the civilians working on military bases probably voted for republicans and support abortion bans and suppressing LBGTQ people. They are too stupid to realize they probably fucked themselves and the base where they work will probably shift functions to other bases to maintain readiness and lay them off. The military won't announce it, they will just move things quietly because some vital specialist won't accept a transfer there.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) defined “woke” as a “form of Cultural Marxism” when asked to define the word in response to former President Trump’s remark that he does not like to define the word because “half the people can’t even define it.”

When asked by NBC correspondent Dasha Burns to define the term during his campaign stop in Iowa on Saturday, DeSantis responded that it is “basically a war on the truth.”

“Look, we know what woke is, it’s a form of cultural Marxism,” DeSantis said. “It’s about putting merit and achievement behind identity politics, and it’s basically a war on the truth. And as that has infected institutions, and it has corrupted institutions. So, you’ve got to be willing to fight the woke, we’ve done that in Florida, and we proudly consider ourselves the state where woke goes to die.”

Earlier this week at the Westside Conservative Breakfast in Urbandale, Iowa, Trump said he didn’t like the term because “half the people can’t even define it.”

“I don’t like the term ‘woke’ because I hear, ‘Woke, woke, woke.’ It’s just a term they use, half the people can’t even define it, they don’t know what it is,” Trump said.

DeSantis has adopted the idea of “wokeness” in his career and campaign in recent years, establishing the law known as the “Stop WOKE Act,” where woke is used as an acronym for “Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees.” It was designed to combat “woke indoctrination” in Florida businesses and schools by prohibiting instruction that could make some parties feel they bear “personal responsibility” for historic wrongdoings because of their race, sex or national origin.

The law was challenged in court after being passed and portions of it were blocked by a federal judge, saying that it violates First Amendment protections of free speech and the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause for being impermissibly vague.

Several Republican presidential hopefuls slammed former President Trump for his comments praising North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Saturday, after the country received a seat on the World Health Organization’s (WHO) executive board.

Former Vice President Mike Pence, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis all criticized the former president, who offered his congratulations to Kim in a Truth Social post on Friday.

“No one should be praising the dictator in North Korea or praising the leader of Russia who has launched an unprovoked war of aggression in Ukraine,” Pence told Fox News while in Iowa on Saturday. “This is a time when we ought to make it clear to the world that we stand for freedom and we stand with those who stand for freedom.”

The former Indiana governor also attacked the organization, claiming it “let America and the world down” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I mean, they literally were complicitous in covering up what was happening in China, and we held them to account during our administration.”

Pence is expected to launch his campaign for the 2024 Republican nomination next week, after months of hinting at a potential White House run.

Haley denounced North Korea’s ascension to the WHO board on Friday, calling it a “total farce.”

“You don’t congratulate a thug,” she added on Saturday, when asked about Trump’s comment. “I mean, let’s keep in mind, this thug has threatened America, has threatened our allies, over and over again.”

“This is not something to play with,” Haley continued. “I mean, he’s a terrible individual. He’s terrible to his people, he’s terrible to our allies in the world, and I don’t think he deserves congratulations.”

DeSantis, who officially joined the Republican field late last month during a glitch-ridden Twitter Spaces event, said he was “surprised” to see Trump’s congratulations to Kim, who he described as a “murderous dictator.”

All three were in Des Moines on Saturday for Sen. Joni Ernst’s (R-Iowa) annual Roast and Ride fundraiser.

Trump has previously touted his relationship with Kim, telling Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward that the two had “good chemistry.” He also exchanged what he called “love letters” with the North Korean leader.

But they are good at triggering the libs and getting the brown folks. They say the republicans are fiscally responsible and somehow good for the economy, they say they like Trump's "policies" but not what he says. Somehow most Americans believe the republicans are better for the economy than the democrats, obviously someone is shitting in their ear and it's a lot more than foxnews doing the shitting too!

Republicans want to cut taxes for the super-rich and exacerbate America's wealth inequality problems and also exacerbate its social problems and division to distract from the fact that the grifters who run the GOP throw red meat, distract and con the morons of America while serving the rich. An economy is an ecosystem and must work in balance, a dynamic equilibrium that has gone out of balance.

Keep the morons and losers distracted by racism, bigotry and culture wars while picking them clean as they freak out over the bullshit ya feed them and the culture wars you create. Keep the government grid locked and the courts packed with corrupt idiots who make the constitution a dead document and instead of a living one able to grow and adapt to the times and needs of the present.
