ExHale® - Homegrown CO2

Has anyone tried this ExHale® - Homegrown CO2 its a bag that releases co2 into your room i was told that one bag in a 4x4 room will put your ppm at around 700 i was thinking of buying two or three of these for my room on top of the lights cause CO2 is heavier then O2 they say they will last 6 months and they are around 30 buck a piece.. If anyone has any info or knowledge about these let me hear it!!!

Save your money... didn't make a difference for me.

I've used them, completely gimmicky. They don't produce enough to warrant the space they take up. Save the money up for a tank and regulator.

You could make Yer own co2 with yeast ,sugar, water and a milk jug. When the yeast goes through fermentation its creates co2. Same effect as exhale but cheaper. Ive heard of people keeping rabbit's in cages in a greenhouse. Free co2 and rabbit droppings for fertilizer.

Yea i know you can do that but these look easier and for only 30 bucks i didnt think it was that bad just didnt know how well it work. I will end up just buying a CO2 set up i think.

Unless you're in a sealed space that CO2 is just going to get sucked out of your exhaust fan.

I have tried them. it's hard to tell what you get out of them unless you can do the same strains in a side by side grow. They say if you have proper air exchange in a unsealed room there is sufficient C02 exchange with out ?

Previous post have it correct. Sealed room and timed exhaust for tank and regulator. TWS yer correct as long as you exchange the air that is suffient co2. However the sealed room gives you better control of environment. Also helps to keep pest and harmful pathogens from harming Yer babies.

So you think if i bought 2 or 3 of these at 30 bucks a pop and they last 6 months for my 12x7 room i would see a lil gain?

12x7 by what? If its at least 8 feet you are talking about 672 cubic feet. To bring a 12x7x8 room to 1200-1500 PPM you will need to release .7 cubic feet of Co2 every hour. Although this video does seem to actually speak towards their usefulness.

I would just say your money and get a regulator, but if you really want to try it out, do her up. Although towards the end of the video he says that he set the meter on his counter and got readings of over 1000, which leads me to believe that his meter is not properly calibrated, but I don't know.

Yea its around 8ft in height im just seeing what people have to say i might try them out down the rode or i might just get a Co2 system or maybe not do any of the Co2 lol..

One of the most important things that I learned about plants in general is something that you already know, but just underestimate the importance of. The act of Photosynthesis is fueled directly by Co2 + Light + Water. The formula for this is 6Co2+ 6 H2O in the presence of the catalyst chlorophyll and energy(light) produces C6H12O6 + 6O(six oxygen). This is called the Calvin Cycle and is how the plant produces sugars ( THE ONLY THING THE PLANT USES FOR ENERGY ). What I'm trying to say to you, is that nutrients are only useful for the production of chloroplasts and plant matter and make little to no difference to the plants total energy that it has for growth, I.E. moving water around the plant, bringing nutrients up from the roots, opening and closing the stomata, etc. etc. etc. Co2 is almost the most important thing you can do for your plants and in my opinion is as important as having a light above them.

I wouldn't buy exhale. Spend that $30 to make more co2 than exhale. You can make co2 with yeast, sugar,water and a milk jug. Pot for pennies my dude. With the money you save you could buy that tank and regulator.
