exhaust question

hey everyone,

I got two cabinets(3’x3’ and a 2’x4’) in a 8x10 room and it’s starting to smell.

I plan on venting out side.

My question is should I have a filter sucking from each cabinet then connecting to a wye on a in-line and going out side, or should I just vent the whole room with one Filter?

The room is unheated, so I’m kinda leaning to have it suck out of each cabinets so I don’t loose to much hot air.

Any input would be appreciated

If you are worried about losing heat you could just setup one 4'' inline fan with a carbon filter on it, definitely enough CFM's to exhaust both cabinets. Connect the cabinets together with a 4'' duct and have the fan set to pull the air out of the tents and push it through the carbon filter. Keep the carbon filter inside the room or nearby in another room.

would there be concern for the air going stale setting it up like this? I’ll probably Mount a booster fan theu the wall of the adjacent room for fresh air.

I dont believe stale air would be an issue assuming this room has Central air/heat. If the room doesn’t have an air exhange then you’ll want a way to get fresh air into the room that the cabinets are in.

Yeah there is no exchange of air. It’s a storage room under my stairs and entry. So there is no forced air heat. I just have a little space heater at the moment. I maybe able to get another duct tied into my main run on my furnace but the easiest thing to do would be cut a hole in the wall so it can get air from the bedroom beside
