I suggest the paper towel method of germination..wet a paper towel and squeeze it a bit..then in a plastic bag in a warm place..but if thats what youre comfortable with thatll work too..id also setup the 150 higher up even when seedlings and hanging the cfls lower and closer for 2 things. More light. And less stretch.

FIRST ADVICE TO ANY NOOB, IS ALWAYS ALWAYS UNDER FERT/NUTE YOUR PLANTS: you can easy catch up later
no food/nute for the first 2-3 weeks, water only by weight, keep a notebook on here is best, tell no one

In fact just have a good poke around, will save you much time and effort, as for nutes theres only 2 different types really urine(urea) based and organic copies (K)&(P)

And another question is can you give me a feeding chart based on the nutes you see if that's not an inconvenience id really appreciate it im trying to figure out how to go about feeding them i have herbies lemon kush feminized seeds

Im not familiar with that nutrient line, things you need to research on your own..learning is the first step. Somewhere online is most likely a feeding schedule for that line.

Okay Thanks alot @Desr and thanks to @vostok for you're guide im reading it now ill post pictures when they sprout up but as far as my lighting goes my hps isnt here yet is 11 23watt 6500k enough to get 3 autos thru veg or atlease 21-28 days with heavy buds still im trying to yield atlease 2 ounces per plant ??

If you tie them down and lst and dont run into any major problems you could get double that...and then some.

I'm sorry to say the 150w HPS is more heat than light, but ok for the odd mom plant you wanna grow, smallest size I'd recommend is a 400w hps, with a foot print of 4x4 feet, maybe get another 2x 150 hps then yeah you may have sum grunt to put trics on them buds? or given yourself over the the l-e-d side, COMPLETELY

See that's the thing guys i was planning to lst maybe 21-28 in veg right before flower in the meantime i was going to tuck the fan leaves if that's a good idea? I know nothing about led lights and now im starting to feel like my 11 23watt 6500k isn't going to be enough for vegging 3 i figured since im using a bedroom closest do anyone else use cfls in this thread and how do you grow autoflowers without nutrients i never knew you could do that @ebcrew

You could use those cfls all the way through. Thatll work. The results wont be anything like HID but itll be something..if thats your only option i would try to buy bigger cfls. And if you supplement your soil you could go start to finish without buying nutes. Like buying seaweed extract and fish fertilizer, bone meal, blood meal, worm castings etc.

@Desr okay thanks alot how about this when is the best time to trim autoflowers?? Is it at the beginning of flower stage

the general thought is never to trim autoflowers, because they have a set lifespan and will spend time recovering from pruning instead of growing. but if you get rid of a few here and there, the plant would barely notice it.

best advice I can offer is if you don't know what the bottle does don't use it. It's just that simple if you don't understand the process or the "Why?" to use that bottle then you're going to cause issues.

There's no reason to run anything other then base nutrients until you learn what you're doing.

If you can return the garbage and go buy a tub of jacks 20/20/20 instead of wasting $200 on AN garbage that is purposely over complicated I guarantee you'll have an easier time learning. There's no reason to use all the extra shit, you got suckered because you're new and don't know better, take it as a learning lesson.

Advanced nutrients are not for new growers, they market it as such but how on earth is a new grower supposed to know what bottle to use when? WHen AN says so? They will kill your plants with their feeding chart.

So if i cut 4 off the bottom wait until I see bud sites and cut like 2 or 3 fan leaves that sounds good?

Yes Jack's if you're in the USA or Plant Prod if in Canada, not sure about Europe or other regions. They will have something comparable, really any cheap 20/20/20 nutrient will grow damn good cannabis if used properly.

It's just a basic nutrient, it's a dry nutrient you buy in a 1kg tub and costs $9.99 it's dirt cheap and very easy to mix. 1 part.

Yes it can be used all threw flower. You can also use Jack's Citrus I hear a lot of folks have success with it in flower.

@Mr.Head Okay so it's a dry nutrient that doesn't need to be mixed with any other nutrient called jacks 20/20/20 i can't return the nutrients tho is this what you use and how much did you start with?
