Extract Processing

Hello all,

I wanted to start up a tread for some of the new(ish) techs out there for processing Rosin and to see if people would be nice enough to share their experiences/ideas.

I have a freezer full of material I’ve been saving from my last few runs ready to be turn into hash when the temp drops this fall/winter.

It will be run through a Pharma Freeze Dryer that has preformed well and will dry the hash overnight to keep it a nice blond color and preserve terps compared to the old air dry.

I pressed a solid amount of hash last run with Rosin Evolution bags and a Hair Straightener. Got decent results as the only missing part was a real press.

I plan on scooping a Low Temp press this coming Black Friday in order to be ready for winter.

With all of that in motion I should wind up with a solid amount of Rosin in the end.

So my question is what direction should I go from there?

Cold cure? - Probably the most common. Let it chill and budder up

Jar tech ? - Maybe throw some in a toaster oven see if we can get some jam going.

Carts? -One I’m lacking the most info on.
What brand/type of cart you use?
What are you using to thin for use?

Any other methods to the madness you guys know of lmk. Trying to learn / spread some knowledge that many keep secret!

The whole book, actually. I read it back in the day and thought it was pretty cool stuff. Seems like it may be outdated now, but the CBD to THC conversion still seems relevant. Never tried any of it, though. Just thought it was inline with your comment "Any other methods to the madness you guys know of lmk". :bigjoint:

Definitely seems early on info but sill cool to see.

I received some information last night off the forums.

For carts if you take the Jar Tech until it’s 100% liquid instead of stopping halfway it works in carts without mixing in a thinning agent.

Guess I was somewhat complicating things.

I was also recommended carts from 02vape.com they have full glass /ceramic units that apparently handle the thinker oils well.
