Fabric Pot Trivets/Pot Elevators

Would like to know what folks are using for there indoor grows under there fabric pots.

I have found a pot stand/trivet can create wet spots on the bottom of fabric bags via contact which stops the coco coir from drying on the inside on the bottom ( if that makes sense) this can and does create a smelly slimy mess on the inside of the bag- more of an issue with 7 gallon + fabric bags... have found this is mainly created by high sided plastic saucers and the pots sitting below the saucer lip as this stops the air flow ... have also found it worse with cheap thin fabric bags..

Fabric pots stay soaked on the bottom no matter what kind of pot elevator you use. I like these 2 in 1 elevator/trays called squarefarmers-they're on the pricey side but they'll last forever so it's worth it to me to have something decent. But I've ditched my cloth bags for "air pots" --those weird nipple pots. They have all the benefits of fabric but better drainage.

I found these on Amazon but they were $15 a piece. After some google foo, I found them for $3 a piece but shipping was $20 so I ordered a bunch to make the shipping worth it. I had been using these little 1" plastic puck risers but they basically just created little 1" divots in the bottom of the pot and it just ended up resting in the saucer anyway after a few weeks. The plastic stands are much better if a little brittle, but they provide total drainage out of the fabric pots.

I found some plastic sheeting in the hardware store, it's deigned to be laid on your driveway then covered in gravel and it keeps the gravel in place. So i cut pot risers out of it, you can make any size you want. Worked out costing about $2 per riser.

That's pretty creative. Well done. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Place fabric pots in milk crates...lots of different benefits...ease of movement, stacking, gives a firm structure without restricting pots..sit nicely on saucers.

I sit fabric pots on a 2x4 frame. Covered with light duty expanded metal. The shelf is positioned a foot off the floor. Enough room for a drain pan and air flow.

Those things aren’t very stable. I ended up sitting them on four butane can lids.

I have a few I used for draining. But I mostly have done coco with blumats and didn't have to worry about draining. With soil I prefer plastic pots over the fabric ones I use with coco and with my small grow I just move the plants out of the tent into a drain pan to water them. I don't have a significant amount of extended use but they worked for me when I used them. They probably aren't a long term solution but my grows are all over the place as far as logistics that I just make things up as I go. Spending as little money as possible.

I took some hog wire fence paneling, cut out squares that were 3" bigger than I needed on each side, then bent those 3" sections down for legs. Tons of things that will work.

I feel that. That’s what lead me to them. I use flood trays now. I was just giving a warning.
