This one seems to be trying to link the shit show going down on Facebook with geniuses who had difficulty getting the status quo to accept their ideas.

The thing is, more often than not, a crank is just a crank. I get why a crank would want to compare their self to Einstein, whose Theory of Relativity did in fact run into skepticism from established physicists at the time.

Righties get so hung up on that word. He was a hardcore ethnonationalist christian that hated and imprisoned gays and people of other cultures. He hated democracy and used it to gain power and wanted to get rid of it to maintain power. Now, how-fucking-familiar does all that sound..?

“Nazi Communists” makes some sense to me, as every Nazi or Communist government was a model of authoritarian subjugation of that part of the populace that was neither ruling class (tiny fraction) “undesirables” who generally wound up dying badly.

Even so, Q = fringe = the engine of human progress

is what you get when you pour a jigger of high-proof delusion into a pint of lightly carbonated narcissism. This appears to be more addictive than tobacco.

That was just bullshit to get elected, there were actual communist and socialist parties running too. Even Bismarck was left by American standards, Germany has single payer medical care and good social programs, companies generally take care of their workers and training levels are high. Also Germany has free college education for Germans and foreigners.

I've been looking for a book I read 25 years back. Can't remember the name of book or the writer, so not having much luck. I thought I had it in my library, but so far I haven't laid my hands on it. But anyway it is a satire about a smart ass German who gets out of trouble with the Party by quoting Hitler's book. Nothing in the book actually happened. The vast amount of Germans never read the book.

It is kind of like Mr Trumpf naming his new social media platform Truth.
