Fan and filter

Hi guys and gals, i have a quick question, i've got a 3x3 tent in a small room in my flat with not a lot of space around it, so pretty tight in there, i have a 9inch occilating fan on the ground and at the top of the tent (inside) a carbon filter with the ducting running through the top opening with the 6inch fan outside, i'm trying to keep the heat under control, i have a 600w omega bulb and ballast. My question is, should i turn on the 6inch fan to suck out the hot air? May sound a stupid question but i read somewhere that i should only use the 6inch fan with carbon filter when the plants start to smell, the plants are only 2 weeks old, with the fan on i can keep a more or less steady temperature of 75-79f, without the fan and just the 9inch occillating fan it's 10 degrees hotter
Thanks )"(

I run my exhaust fan 24/7. I have it on a “dimmer” so I can run it on low speed. I guess you could disconnect the carbon filter until the odor starts to try to stretch it’s useful life. But I believe you want to turn over the air in there every 3 minutes.

looks like this.....yours may not go through the hood.

Use inline and right size intakes to create negative pressure and a healthy flow of air through the tent so you dont need the 9" fan :-)
