Fan leaves only

been looking up to see if you can make cannabutter with only fan leaves.
kind of doubt it will work like many others, but googled some posts saying it worked.
i only have about 3/4 oz of fan leaves, so im only using a bit over a 1/4 cup butter. (to make up for some that'll be lost)
its been in the crockpot for half an hour. going to leave it over night, freeze it tomorrow morning, and make something easy to bake up, idk yet but ill figure it out by tomorrow. will post results in 2 days. maybe even tomorrow night.

this is only experimental. trying to answer this question for myself, and anyone else that was wondering.

some people might say yeah, but the honest answer is no way. fan leaves contain very very little thc, and are loaded with chlorophyll, not good! to make a budder that would have any noticeable strength whatsoever you would need to use such a high ratio of leaves to butter that you would just be left with an unedible, low potency, black mess! honestly don't even bother wasting your time my friend.

It depends on the strain of weed the fan leaves came from. If you don't see any visible resin, don't expect much. And yep like guy said above, those leaves are gonna make your butter REALLY green from excess chlorophyll

From oz of fan leaves, you'd get two good doses. At least I got. But I only used fan leaves cut off from buds. So they had some trichs. Idk man.

I only use fan leaves for my butter. Cook them green and wet straight off the plant. Awesome butter/oil made in the pressure cooker. Even use the left over oily leaves in brownies. Good stuff. Back in the day ('60s) all we had was leaves to smoke & cook with!

lol that's what i do, but with my sugar leaves instead of water leaves.....and one little inch by inch square of brownie will get you nice and toasty. Quarter of an 8" x 12" pan and you won't be going to work the next day lol

It worked for me. I logged a post in the cooking with cannabis section
titled "Success" Made canna-butter with leaves only (no trim)". Check it out. Incidentally, you can filter the finished butter to get more impurities out of it by putting the butter in a glass container and using a warm water bath to melt the butter. After the butter is completely melted pour approximately two cups of boiling water into the melted butter and mix it up with a whisk or fork then strain it with multiple layers of cheese cloth. Cool it again till it separates. Repeat two or three times. You will notice the separated water getting clearer with each filtering. ...............Happy Trails.
