hey guys, my bbxww is 5 weeks into flower (i go by switch) and the last few days ive noticed the bigger fan leaves mostly on the bottom turning yellow and dying. i read this is normal durning late flower but im still a little nervous. feeding schedule has been. flora bloom 1 part 1 tsp per gallon (just increased too 2 tsp yesterday) then 2 tbsp molasses during non feeding water. thats it nothing else. temps have been right on 65 at night 77 during the day. 400 hps. thanks guys..

this usually happens in flower for the simple fact that most flowering nutes tend to drop the nitrogen levels a bit too low to support green growth for very long..
i always continue to add a bit of veg nutes along with the flowering nutes during flowering, or use something like fish emulsion or another product high in nitrogen during flowering to keep the leaves as healthy and green as i can.. :D

It's normal and usually starts around 2-3 weeks into flower,i like that they yellow and die off cause i still will have more than enough fan leaves to sustain them until harvest plus it makes trimming alot easier.

yea its normal if you cut the nitrogen after the stretch, don't worry, keep feeding as you do ..

they look fine. i agree with Racer that we stop N, as a rule, a tad early for cannabis. if you don't care about organics, Jack's Classic Bloom has a decent amount of N. i'm gonna try it for a 12/12 from seed i'm doing. "she" bought it for me, and i want to use it up.

Don't boost your nitrogen at this stage, it will throw off your leaf to bud ratio. You want the relulting leaf drop and your plants will be fine.

The leaves are what produce energy if they die your plant has less energy to produce bud. Don't continue to let them die add Some N back

Yep that's true and there is plenty of back and forth on this already on the web. But as u enter the final phases of flowering non-excessive leaf drop allows light to reach deeper in the plant adding bud weight to those that wouldn't receive it otherwise. Also the plant will put more effort into developing power leaves over sun leaves. The overall affect is more developed and tighter buds. Do as you will, but I have been growing for over 15 years...have heard all the arguments...but the bottom line are my observations over many many harvests. My advise is unless ur leaf drop is excessive don't augment with nitrogen during the final 3 weeks of flowering.

And what would be considered excessive? I lose about 3-4 big fan leaves every water(about every 3 days)
