Fan on all the time?

heyy hows it goin erybody.. i was just wondering. should i leave my fan on when the lights are off. or is this a no no.?!?!?!?1

The more air circulation, the better. The more the plants move, the stronger its shoots shall become. Yes, keep the fan goin imo.

Yea, I leave my fan going 24/7. You can't get the ballast for an HPS or MH at home depot - at least that I know. You will need to get it from a hydro store. You going to upgrade your lights? You will need something like this...

im thinkin of buying a 400W HPS from that texas hydroponics for 24 bux. but i dont whanna blow the rest of my money on the ballast(didnt know the word)

The light you are getting for 24 bucks? If you are going to end up with wanting an HID system and will only be doing one grow cycle at a time, I'd roll with a switchable ballast. This will allow you to do MH during veg and then you can do HPS when you get ready to flower. All this can be done with the flip of a switch. Some people say you can do HPS during the whole cycle, if you wanna do that, then give it a whirl. When you buy from Texas Hydro they will give you a bulb with that kit.

Yea, it regulates the flows. If you can't do an HID system, use a bunch of cfl's. That will get the job done to. You can pick those up at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or any other hardware store.

The ballast is the white thing. The other thing you see is just a socket that you would put in a reflective hood. They make small HIDs that have the ballast built into the reflective hood. They come in low wattages to. Somethan like 150-250 w. So you might want to look at that option because they are cheaper.

To bad you don't live in my town. They will cut deals with you if you bullshit with them enough. I bought all my nutes, my soil, the hood, and the system for like 280-300.

You have to remember that getting the right parts for your grow room is an investment in of itself. With the right parts, you can grow awsome weed, and if you need to, sell some of it to make what you spent on making the atomosphere just right ( Air, Nutes, Soil, Light, Etc ) Better to do your best, than at all.

I do believe that you need a powersupply with a bulb of that wattage. I could be wrong though.

Yea man, like tony said, this shit is a very good investment. You will make all your money back if you do it right. If you don't have all the money right now, don't worry. Use some cfl's until you can get the money saved up for an HID system. Cfl's are good for veg.

cfl's are a pain in my ass right now. u need so many of them. and the ones with 150- 200 watt. they dont sell anywhere besides online, and there like 70 bux. its insane/ but it is well worth it..
