so i havent quite figured out the fan thing yet. Is there a thread or page with lists of the most highly rated intake and exhaust fans?

heres what im doing.....

these need to attach to a door one on the bottom for exhaust and one on top for intake. the door will have holes cut and on the outside facing side covered with louvered covers......

on the inside the fans will have to be mounted to shrouds bolted to the inside door surface with flexible hose directed where it needs to go.....

so im not so much concerned about size but smaller and cheaper is better

thx for reading

If your looking for the best quality inline fans i think CAN fans are the best brand. Good warrenty. If your looking for a duct booster fan i have no idea cause ive only used inlines.

Those booster fans your looking are just made to boost airflow over long duct passages i think. Im pretty sure you want an inline fan and not a booster unless you have an inline somewhere else in the room or line. And really, spend money on your equipment and itll last longer and perform better. Alway buy the best and you have that much more chance at getting the most outta your grow.

As for the cubic feet, i dunno how many cubic feet your room is. Figure it out and then get one rated just above your space.

Active is a quality fan at a reasonable price. I need to move more air than my 4 inch Active fan can manage so I have been watching youtube videos and checking out Amazon feed back. I am leaning towards a Fantech, has good feedback and is make of plastic. Plastic tends to dampen the noise. If I didn't need to move air through a filter I would go with the Vortex S-600.

Im running a 4inch inline with carbon filter and a 6inch booster fan set on a wireless sensor to turn on only when it gets to a cirten temp.
All set through my phone from anywhere.
It also notifies me with temp and RH updates and when the fan is on or off.

Passive intake at bottom, furthest away from exhaust as possible. If you have an intake fan with less cfm then your exhaust fan then your your exhaust fan will be limited because of it.

I have a question do you. Guys think that 4 orion DC fans 40 cfm (computer) 2 for input 2 for output would work for a dresser grow box, and how long should I run them
My best suggestion is to start your own thread as thread jacking is highly shunned upon or the wonderful search bar that RIU has provided us with :)

Also, WELCOME to RIU. You will find a lot of great information on here, but also some not so great information. The most important thing is to continue to learn and do individual research to find what works best for you in your garden. Make use of the forums search bar, as this is a great way to find threads that are posted on topics and questions you may have. Furthermore, don't take information as being a 100% valid without verification, I prefer members who have photos, videos, etc to back there claims, but even then every garden and grower are different.

Finally, please know that "Well-Known Member" doesn't necessarily equal "Great/Knowledgable Grower" as many new members tend to make this assumption. I am a prime example of a new grower, who has received this status simply because of my activity on the forum!

Best of lucky with all your grows and again welcome to the RIU community!
