Fan upgrade

Need to update my old fan's.

Looking for some suggestions before final decision.

Currently using 6" hyper fan
And a 8" hyper fan with controller.

I'm looking for the same or similar setup in EC fans, sorry but not interested in the good old AC fans.

There is one stand out as far as I can see.

Hopefully you can confirm what I think is the stand out EC fan.

Or give me a new option that I hadn't planned on.

Everybody seems to raving about ac infinity fans. I've not tried one yet. I have a couple 10 Inch phat brand fans and a bunch of older 6 and 8 inch fans. I'm assuming all mine might be ac fans but I honestly don't know the difference.

Thanks was hoping there might be an alternative to the AC infinity system. Being European it's mega hard to get your hands on one, never mind two of them.

They do seem the stand out fan from what I have read on here.
Seen a few top notch growers have them.

Aw well wishful thinking, as I'm not willing to pay the mega extra on shipping and customs.

Heard they are super quiet, mega light being plastic and move a lot of air around for their size.

Was a guy the other day about to buy an EC version of a hyperfan style , £600-£1000 for a fan. That's Just taking the piss, putting a fan in a silencer doesn't make much difference and the cheeky twats sell them as silent fans without even providing a db rating.
I mean if your marketing a fan as quiet the very least you can do is have the db up there in massive letters.
Otherwise your relying on the crazy price tag convincing someone it must be good.
I bought an airforce 2 silenced fan years ago for £350 , wasn't until I got it I got the info from the company, 55db.. In no circumstances is that quiet.

I managed to hunt down 6"AC infinity I think?

Find out later in the week. Keep you posted how I get on, and what I think of it should it arrive.

Got one 6" installed from Amazon, still available to buy at this present time.

Got the manual fan and the 6" controller fan is on the way.

Yes they are quiet and move a lot more air than my old hyper fans.
Record low of 33% humidity on a rainy day. I was impressed.

Still to run the controller as I don't see the point? Old school, but will give it a bash as I heard good things about it.

Only down side to using the controller and sensor is they both have to be same size fans..
Example two 6" fans, can't combine different sized fans on same controller.

This might lead to me buying another 8" manual fan and combine the both like my previous setup.

But will give the two 6" fans a chance, as I like the idea of sensor running them fans slower when needed and bump it up when on alert.

According to AC Infinity, two different sizes of Cloudline fans can now be connected to one controller.



Have you checked your manual to see if that's the case? Or maybe Amazon has some of the older models in stock. I bought and returned a Cloudline T8 (before they switched to 110 watt draw) from Amazon that was listed as 180 watts. The fan that I received was the initially released 230 watt model.

AI-CLS6 model number.

According to manual its DC motors that can only support fans of the same tier model.

EC motors can control two fans of any size.

Just put the manual in the box as I had read the online manual from a previous version.
