Feeding Coconut Water and Aloe up til flower

I have made it all the way to 5 weeks in flower growing organic for the first time..second grow and im feeding with only coconut water and aloe juice that i blend fresh. Sometimes I add a little unsulphured Brer Rabbit every now and again to feed the soil micro..I originally amended my pots with Happy Frog soil with a lot of worm castings..sprinkled with chicken scat..a little blood meal..small amount of high p bat guano and a lot of perlite..my pots are 3gallon..my space is around 4×3..anyways!!..the plants started showing a deficiency late in flower..I posted on here about it two weeks ago..a few people said do a slurry test..some said the aloe was gumming up the works..some said ph..I had lower leaves drooping..turning colors and falling off..turns out in flower the plants are greedy for phosphorus..and they had used up all of the nutes and phosphorus in the soil..come to find out after reading and testing my soil
.the coconut water and aloe provides everything for the plant except the darn phosphorus..the plant was showing phosphorus deficiency..and although the test showed nitrogen and potassium in the mix..there was zero phosphorus..I mean zero..and also the aloe and coconut water also makes the soil a little acidic..so you must feed the soil often enough to keep it alive..I havent been doing any top dresssing all this time because they looked happy and healthy to me..until.boom! phosphorus deficiencies in all of them..so yes the coconut water and aloe work great!..I vouch for this..its great..I had big bushy kids in veg..but you must amend your soil with phosphorus before flower..and then at least twice with phosphorus in flower....I recommend high p guano top dress and worm castings or kelp..that should keep them happy..I am liking organic so far..it is less to decipher..anyways I learned the hard way..now im trying to get this guano top dress to break down fast enough to reverse the damage..if anyone knows of a faster way no chemicals to get phoshporus to them roots id love the tip..thanks for reading..I am a big fan of coconut water and aloe now..and if you are using nutes..I feel that aloe and coconut water could take your plant and root zone to the next level whether you're growing organically or not! Happy growing!

coconut water is great i use it myself. but i dont see how you're using straight coxonut water it has a ph of around 4 and a ppm of 3 to 4k. i personally mix a little bit maybe a teaspoon in about 2l of water. also add that i get the water straight from the coconut

Not really a fast way but adding some fish bone meal to your soil could help. Add some when you recycle the soil and then if needed add it as a top dress (or spike) along with some ewc and kelp meal just before flowering.
If you have a compost pile or worm bin adding crushed eggshell will provide a nominal amount of P but also lots of calcium and magnesium. Problem is it takes a real long time for the eggshell to break down. Took like a year after adding them to my worms before I noticed any difference. Was using a liquid cal/mag before that now just plain ass water.

No I dont use straight..i dilute it..lol..I mix it in a cup sized ninja blender with the aloe..and I dilute the whole thing in a gallon of ph water..then I pour servings out of that one gallon into their water when I feed..so full strength diluted in a gallon..then diluted again..I usially water a gallon each plant..so a little diluted.mixed in each gallon..lol i hope I described it clearly..kind confused myself there lol..I also drill holes in the coconuts i get from walmart and freeze what I don't use..because it goes bad if you dont use right away..I've learned..oh and I grate the coconut flesh with a cheese grater and freeze it..and blend that with water later when i need more..

Yeah looks like I'm behind the clock on this one..I did a top dress with 0-7-0 bat guano and some more worm castings..just going to water again tomorrow and see if they perk up soon..they are still budding..but still the leaves on the bottom look rough..and I cant help but feel that the buds may look better if there wasnt a deficiency going on

Try to get away from the mentality that you need to provide them this or that. Solving a deficiency without soluble nutes is difficult. Like you said once you notice a deficiency it's kind of already too late because things happen slower in organic soil. It's much easier to add what's needed to the mix before it actually is..then just water your plants...
When my plants are getting pale or starting to yellow off too early in bloom cycle I will give a dose of liquid fish w/seaweed go a week or so. That usually will not reverse them completely but helps perk them up and allows them to finish. I have fucked up before to the point that the plants started to yellow off in week 5. The solution for me was to use spikes. Jobes organic spikes; made of feather meal, bone meal, and potash. They slow release feed for 8 weeks which is perfect for bloom phase. I just push in 2 spikes per container a week or so before flipping to final bloom phase and then water the plants as normal for the whole cycle. You can even make up your own diy spikes but these are cheap enough...like $6 for a 50 pk on Amazon...

Hey thanks for that..I might grab some for this round and my next..I also will get some bone meal a fish emulsion and kelp to amend my soil next run..I have never used those before..just had what I had..and in all I wouldve made out okay if I had thought to top dress before flower..I dont like the idea of adding more of one thing or this and just that..I was hoping that organic would be less fuss than chemicals..but alas..still have to pre prep too with organic grows..you are right..getting it done before hand is always better..but the spikes idea sounds fail proof too and takes out room for error..four of my plants are in week 5 and two in week 7..maybe I can get em together before they finish up..the last 4 anyways..thanks for the tip! They sound pretty organic too..def gonna grab some today along with some kelp and other to dos to have on hand..appreciate it!

Yep they are OMRI. If it's any consolation I have just let it ride when they start slide off later on flower and have never been disappointed with the bud I got even though healthier plants might've yielded more. You'll notice they will devour the fans way before the bud leaves. The buds usually stay green for much longer than rest of the plant. Good luck happy growing

Jobe's fertilizer spikes have tested with extremely high levels of heavy metals due to contamination from hazardous waste recycling loopholes. We're talking ppms of lead, arsenic, cadmium, etc. in the hundreds and sometimes thousands. All of the Jobe's Organics products are in play here. Kellogg Organics also recycle hazardous waste into fertilizer products. There are many more but those are the worst tests of retail/consumer products I've seen with my own eyes. I certainly will never use a fertilizer spike of any kind due to the ease at which waste ingredients can be pressed in without leaving any clues. Same goes for time release fertilizer pellets but I haven't actually tested any hot.

The book 'Fateful Harvest' is worth checking out. The loopholes were used by Cenex (Land O' Lakes and more) in WA state to secretly dump hazardous waste onto land that family farmers were unwilling to sell. They knowingly sold these farmers contaminated fertilizer and after crops failed for several consecutive years they swooped in to buy the land. The former mayor of an effected town sued the EPA for their complicity but all we got was the damn 'levels of heavy metals' disclosure on fertilizer packages.

quick question. why do you grow organic?
Flavor.

Terpenes are the direct result of microbes communicating with one another. It is how they speak. This isn't to say other methods won't have terpenes, just that these other methods don't have an entire soil mass worth of terpenes. The result of this is that a thriving living soil will always produce more flavorful product.

It also produces a delightful earthy/composty undertone upon exhale. That undertone is how you can tell if something was truly grown in a living soil.

The smelliest and tastiest weed I've ever had was actually my first round. I was giving them EWC tea along with bubbled Earth Juice at each feeding. My whole house reaked the last month, and the weed had so much flavor I wasn't sure if it was normal, lol. It was also the frostiest batch I've had so far.

I got tired of making teas all the time, and started mainly just top dressing. It still been good, but I haven't got them like that first time again yet. I was wondering why, and then realized it had to be the microbes we're really happy.

There are dozens of studies that show organic fertilizer produces fruits and veggies with more nutrients, phenols, terpenes, etc. The studies on culinary herbs show huge increases in essential oils/terpenes. I think a major factor is that many plant growth promoting rhizobacteria induce systemic resistance in plants, and we know that heavy applications of conventional phosphorus fertilizers suppresses the entire microbiome. Likewise, many other substances that induce systemic resistance, like chitosan for example, also increase essential oils in culinary herbs (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15853422/). I've always felt my organic grows tasted the best.

That grow was the best flower I've really ever grown/smoked..it was stickier smellier and tastier..the smell was always there never left...i didn't dry til it crumbled I cured it as slow as i could anyways before it was gone lol. Different strains they all blew my friends away so much that i ran out and didnt have any left for myself..i will always grow organic from now on because the benefits are greater..the yields were very big..the soil is recyclable no salt build ups and better the next grow..the flower has taste..the smoke was full thick and wonderful..the worm castings took away the trouble of ph'ing the soil..the living soil fed them..i just watered with coconut water n aloe dillute and tested slurries once a week..really made a lot of mistakes for my first time grow in organic and I still got really good flower..fuss free with a great result..really should give it a go if yall haven't grown organic before..ready for my next

Congrats, glad to hear you had so much success. Many struggle with yields on their first run, so its good you didn't experience that. Coconut water is absolutely amazing and I'll never grow without the stuff again, plants go apeshit with it.

If you think the flavor of flower is amazing with organics, you should try concentrates if you haven't already. I recommend fresh frozen material, absolute best flavor you'll get from anything cannabis related, especially if its full melt bubble. Full melt bubble from living soil buds is the absolute best.

Happy to hear your success.

@kratos015 I have read your posts on coconut water, but I see they are all on organics. Have you used it in soil-less? or know anything about its use in soil-less?
