Feeding: Maxibloom -or- Sensi Bloom A&B?

so i was watching a vid on youtube where the guy said you needed to flush longer if using maxibloom cause it has more phosphorous than sensi bloom.

Either your meter reads very low or your teaspoons are not full.

1 tsp Maxi= 6g
12g/G maxi ~ 3.3 EC

7g/G maxi ~ 2.0 EC
Hey @HydroKid239.
It's pretty much a known fact that the nutrient companies always list a very high nutrient mix on their labels.
Most people know to only feed half of what's listed on a nutrient label.

I was wrong yesterday guys. You knew it, but I didn’t realize I gave you the #’s from mixing 2gal with 2 tsp. That puts my water at about 800pm (tap water here is 150ppm) I went to feed today & realized it.. then this thread haunted me lol had to come back & confess.
Regardless of my goof up there, I still love the stuff. I went from using AN connoisseur 2part to the maxi 1 part & wont look back on those ridiculous bottles.

I still have over 10 pounds of Mega Crop One Part but might have to give Maxigro/bloom a go :weed:

Likely two plants with Mega Crop and two with Maxigro !

Maxibloom is awesome, go with that. I have fairly alkaline tap water to begin with, like a good portion of the country, and Maxi adjusts the PH down to 6.3 all by itself-so you might get lucky and not need to adjust PH at all. It all depends on your tap water though, so you may or may not need to add PH up or down depending on your water-which is the same as ANY fertilizer. So my tap water is 7.3 - 7.7, and with 5g/gal of Maxi it ended up at 6.3! EC 0.7, or 370ppm.

Depends on medium used - ( soil / peat ) i let medium do the “ initial “ feeding alone , then supplement as it begins to exhaust. Hempy i start right from the beginning stages.

For veg - i run between 650-800 ppm
And keep it at higher end as plant moves thru growth.
All the way til “ stretch phase “ then move to ppm up to a 1000 ( depending on strain ) for mid / late bloom.

Maxigrow ( i use for longer veg plants that i plan for ) and works great in straight hempy ir when using milder mixes like promix. Then after stretch i move over to maxibloom.

I tend to use maxibloom more over the grow but maxigrow is also a good starting nute.

Seedlings i can feed them 200 ppm maxigrow in a solo cup start. I sometimes even soak and squeeze rapid rooters in a mild solution for cuttings or sowing seeds.

Totally pleased with its powdered form - better shelf stability over “ liquids “ that end up falling out of solution and shaking crunchy bits at bottom of bottle.

I fill mix container with 1/2 hot water - add teaspoon of maxi ( whisk it well to blend ) then top fill container with cool water. That way i know it dissolves. Only thing I don’t like but nitpicking is the pink dye. Other than that all good.
I’m getting 6.3Ph with just straight tap water and maxi lol, lucky! Only thing I noticed was that 5g/gal set me at 370. So obviously I need to up the ppm accordingly.

I've tested my per gram maxi PPM a few times and it's always ~105ppm (~.2EC) per gram. I did it last night again and got that same count. I looked at the MaxiBloom feed chart on the GH website and looking at their EC/PPM ranges that matches with what they're saying.

For instance, on the 'light' schedule, they say 4.5g Maxibloom + 2ml Ca/Mg nets them a range that's 700-850PPM (1.4-1.7EC).

When I do a gallon of water I get: 330ppm (500 scale) for my water; which is comparatively high right now due to season and our well... Then the Ca/Mg is ~62ppm per mg x2, plus 4g of MB at 105ppm. So 330+124+420= 874ppm (1.748EC) which seems to validate their math too.

So...

(Quick edit that Billy the Mountain's calc at 130ppm for maxi is probably reasonable too. When I measured last night there may have been a grain or two that wasn't fully dissolved, but definitely in that ~25ppm plus or minus area.

For an old guy , traditional hempys , tap water & Maxi series . 4-5gal bucket , water once a day & grow from fussy haze / equatorials to puro indicas that eat like hogs .

I'm not disputing your numbers but they are 33% lower than what I consistently measure

For shits and grins, I just checked my Com-80 meter with 1 EC calibration fluid, weighed out 5g of maxibloom and added it to 1 gal
of RO water.

The EC was 1.34

This has been consistent for years.

Why do you need to up the ppm's?
My last couple of grows I have only used 1/2 tsp. per gallon and never had an issue.
That's where I settled at myself with MaxiBloom. I don't know why they say 1-2 tsp. That was too much for my plants at 1 tsp. I go by the plants not some number.
