Feeding Schedule For Autos (FloraNova and AN)

Hello all!

I'm a complete noob with hydro grow. I've been searching for a feeding schedule that I can possible use in my auto grow but all the feeding schedules I find are for soil/regs.

I'll be growing MI5 and Super Cali Haze Autos.

I have not purchased nutes yet, still deciding on either FloraNova or Advanced Nutrients.

Can anyone who has used either post a chart of their weekly feeding schedule for autos in a bubbler from seed to harvest?

Ok, if no one can give me a sample of their feeding schedule, what about opinion of FloraNova or Advanced Nutrients for autos.

You might just want to try a kit.

They also have their feeding charts online. http://n-g-w.com/ngw/literature/BotanicareFeedSchedule_0507.pdf

As for Autos,
They bloom almost instantly. Their first 3-4 weeks would be considered a vegetative phase. I would just use a Grow Feed schedule until flowering begins, then switch to a Bloom Feed Schedule. Always start out with a fraction of the directed amount from the manufacturer and work your way up.

I really like the way the Trial Size Packs have been marketed. Its great for DWC as you will only need a few dozen mL of each bottle per plants life cycle. So really, you could get quite a few grows out of such a small package. Might be the best 30 bucks on complete nutrients you can spend.

I was looking at Botanicare Nutes at first. I remember when I added up the cost it was more than FloraNova and AN but I based that off of a feeding chart I found on another forum. Below is the chart, it can be useful to other noobs or anyone looking for a feeding schedule. Any input or advice about the chart and Botanicare Nutes is appreciated.

OK, I wanted to try to help out and get a real feeding chart pegged down for the site. So this is a basic standard feeding chart for the Botanicare line of nutrients, now this is not perfected, just a basic guideline you will want to adjust for your own plants by how they react.

here goes....

Note: The nutrients in this feeding program are formulated for low ppm tap water( Aprox. 100-300) If you are using R/O water, you should use almost double the Cal-Mag every week

Notes for the Vegitative Growth Cycle: PH levels should range from (5.8-6.3)
PH levels for SOIL should range from (6.5-7.0)
Daytime room temp.(79-82) Night time temp. (69-70)
Day/Night humidity level (60-70%)
70% of your PPM should be Pure Blend Pro (base nutes.)

1/2 all values for
soil applications

Try to change your water weekly, Do not exceed 2 weeks, this applies for the flowering cycle as well, Watering intervals vary depending on system.

Make sure you add all nutrients in the ORDER GIVEN to ensure no improper bonding of elements.

Week 1: (2ml/gal) Cal-Mag, (1 ml/gal) Superthrive, (7ml/gal) Aqua Shield, (5ml/gal) Pure Blend Pro
Week 2: (2ml/gal) Cal-Mag, (1 ml/gal) Superthrive, (7ml/gal) Aqua Shield (2ml/gal), Hygrozyme, (7ml/gal) Pure Blend Pro
Week 3: (3ml/gal) Cal-Mag, (1 ml/gal) Superthrive, (2ml/gal) Hygrozyme, (7ml/gal) Aqua Shield, (9ml/gal) Pure Blend Pro
Week 4: (3ml/gal) Cal-Mag, (1 ml/gal) Superthrive, (2ml/gal) Hygrozyme, (7ml/gal) Aqua Shield, (10ml/gal) Pure Blend Pro

(Clearex 10 ml per gallon)
At the end of the 4th week of the growth cycle, empty the reservoir. Now refill the reservoir with water & Clearex salt leach ONLY! Let flush for one day. (ph 6.0)

Notes for Flowering Cycle: The PH Level should range from (5.8-6.3)
For Soil applications, PH level should range from (6.5-7.0)
Daytime room temp. (76-80) Nighttime temp. (62-70)
(these temps are for the first 4 weeks of flowering ONLY)
Daytime room temp. (76-80) Nighttime temp. (60-65)
(these temps are for the last 4 weeks of flowering)
Day/Night time humidity for first 4 weeks (55-65%)
Day/Night time humidity for last 4 weeks (45-55%)

Week 4: (3ml/gal)Cal-Mag, (7ml/gal) Aquashield, (2ml/gal) Hygrozyme, (10ml/gal) Sweet, (7ml/gal) Liquid Karma, (14ml/gal) Pure Blend Bloom

Note: At the end of the 4th week of flowering, empty the reservoir. Now refill the reservoir with water and Clearex salt leach only, let if flush for one day (ph 6.0)

Week 5: (3ml/gal)Cal-Mag, (7ml/Gal) Aquashield, (2ml/gal) Hygrozyme, (10ml/gal) Sweet, (10ml/gal) Liquid Karma, (15ml/gal) Pure Blend Bloom
Week 6: (3ml/gal)Cal-Mag, (7ml/Gal) Aquashield, (2ml/gal) Hygrozyme, (10ml/gal) Sweet, (10ml/gal) Liquid Karma, (5ml/gal) Hydroplex, (16ml/gal) Pure Blend Bloom
Week 7: (3ml/gal)Cal-Mag, (7ml/Gal) Aquashield, (2ml/gal) Hygrozyme, (10ml/gal) Sweet, (10ml/gal) Liquid Karma, (5ml/gal) Hydroplex, (17ml/gal) Pure Blend Bloom
Week 8: (3ml/gal)Cal-Mag, (7ml/Gal) Aquashield, (2ml/gal) Hygrozyme, (10ml/gal) Sweet, (10ml/gal) Liquid Karma, (5ml/gal) Hydroplex, (18ml/gal) Pure Blend Bloom

WEEK 9: Empty the reservoir. Now refill the reservoir with water and clearex salt leach only! Let it flush for one full week, and then proceed with harvest.
(PH water at 6.0) (Clearex 10ml per gallon)

Note: In order to achieve maximum results, it is crucial to have optimal air circulation and ventilation. As well as maintaining the proper Temperature and Humidity levels.

It is also highly recommended to try and achieve approximately 10,000 lumens per plant and to have a CO2 level between (1000-1500ppm)

Well I hope this helps to give some people a bit better understanding of a feeding chart, now you can probably go ahead and follow this and still get pretty good results, but again you will have to tweak it accordingly for your strain, and growth patterns, etc.

I will be doing another one soon for a bit more advanced nutrient line by House and Garden.

Good Luck all!

From the chart above, it looks like i'll use more than a few dozen ml. For example, the Cal-Mag I'll use 323 ml which is about 11 ounces and the trials come in 8oz. Am I doing my math wrong or reading the chart incorrectly? I'm assuming it's 2ml per gallon of water and my rez is about 10 gallons

it says 5 to 7 or 5-7 not 57 for the cal-mag, but either way you won't be using the full dosage. You will likely be using something like half the recommended per gallon. In between feedings you use just plain water, so likely you will just use a gallon of solution for one plant or maybe two per week. That might not be the right schedule for dwc anyways. But most all companies post their nutrient schedule on their website. It's just a matter of tracking them down. Let me know if you find anything that interests you.

Look at the NGS wholesale place and see the different nutrients on the market. CNS17 is a pretty cheap commercial nutrient.

If you really want to go simple. Go with Humboldt Nutrients "Oneness". It's a one part base nutrient and there is a bloom that goes with it. If you don't manually cut/lockout the nitrogen, then you could just drop Oneness and go completely "Ginormous" for the bloom stage. This is actually what i recommend now.

You can ignore everything else on that chart. You could also ignore all the ONENESS needed during bloom and Use just Ginormous.

What size reservoir are you using? 5gal per plant? Thats what i see most around here. Maybe you should try one or two gallon buckets.

I have a bubbleponics set up, 10 gallon. If you look at the feeding schedule i quoted above the guy is using 3ml per gallon of cal-mag. So that will be 30ml of cal-mag per week x 8 weeks=240ml is over 8 ounces. I wasn't going by the botanicare chart, I was using another grower's chart.

dang. ten gallons is an awful lot for autos, but it will work.

I still suggest looking into Oneness and Ginormous. Its cheap and very very simple to mix. Its a one part line.
