Feminized Seeds

My friend the other day bought his medical seeds from a dispencery in Dana Point, California. They told him that they get most of their seeds from Humbolt. But what got my attention is, when my buddy asked about the feminized seeds, they told him feminzed seeds are not as good as the non-feminzed, they are weaker, as in they do not turn out as dank. Im not sure if i believe this, can anyone give me any input, it would help a lot, thanks.

i don't think that's true, feminized seeds are a whole lot better, as they are guaranteed females, which is what you're looking for, but regular seeds could easily be male and that means a huge waste of time and money!

if fem seeds were so great then there would be no market for regulars?

but regulars are cheaper, which means business for people with low budgets! and to them it's better to have a 50% chance of some good bud, than no chance at all!

really? usually, the banks i go to, charge almost twice as much for fem, than they do for regs, but even with that, some people enjoy the anticipation of not knowing what'll come from the seeds they purchase, it just adds to the whole experience of growing, to them i guess! haha

Not everyone wants to grow the same way. Some people have the room to start a bunch of regular plants, grow them until they show sex and then cull out the males. This usually results in more than one plant of the same strain. Which is OK, if that is what you want. Some people like to buy single feminized seeds of several different strains to try them out. Those growing hydro dont need a bunch of plants to get a shitload of cuttings. One feminized seed gets them started. I have 9 strains going right now, all from single feminized seeds.

I cant answer the question about feminized seeds being weaker. I have some regular seeds from SubCool that I want to grow later this year when I get my multi room grow op built. I bought some land that has a big barn on it and I am going to build the rooms inside the barn. It has a dirt floor and in one of the rooms I am going to plant the SubCool gear directly in the ground that has about 25 years of cow shit and hay worked into it. If it doesnt work, I will put more hydro units in there. Sorry for the long post.

Wow, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself. I'm used to the feminized versions being about twice as expensive. + Rep Sambo

i have personally ordered the guy is on the ball! hes pretty local to me n i got my order in 24hrs i think he hand delivered it lol got 2 free fem seeds, a free pipe n a free keyring. n all the beans where nice n healthy uncrushed just fine really couldnt recommend him enough, plus hes on this site every day so you can talk with him bout ya order.

They may charge the same or a little more for regular seeds, but regular seeds usually come in 10 packs, while feminized are usually 5 packs sometimes only 3. You may pay the same, but you get more regs tham fems for the same money. Unless you get lucky and have a really high ratio of males to females, you end up paying about the same (per female plant) anyway.

no worrys like i said ive recently ordered n had no probs although i think if you read his thread in the seedbank review that this volcano malarky has been slowing orders down but i think thats all sorted now.

Fems just make it easier. less hassle. im currently worried about sexing and just thinking about buying 5 fems. lol. so much less to worry about.

txhomegrown you sound like ya no ya stuff bout fems ive only ever had bad experience with em i.e major hermi probs but am now seeing that was most prob my growin skill at the time, my question is are you making mothers of these fem seeds n running clones from fem seed mothers?

my bad. sorry m8 i shoulda looked at how many in the packs.

just had another look at that site n that burmese kush is £55 for 10 fem £65 for 10 regulars.

No prob, it's all good. That price is still a lot better than costing twice as much for feminized. I'm currently growing my first feminized seeds and have 100% females.
