Fertigation Manager Basic kit

Hello everyone! Based on feedback I've been getting, we are making available a starter kit for the Fertigation Manager. It lists for $199.99 and includes:
  • Fertigation Manager controller
  • 4 station feed pump module
  • 80 feet of silicone tubing
  • 4 drip rings
What this will do for you is feed your plants based on a user defined interval. The interval is adjustable from 40 minutes up to 10 hours. It also meters the nutrient solution delivered to each station down to the milliliter. Since we use a dedicated pump per station, this gives you the flexibility to have a different nutrient solution recipe for every plant if you want. It also enables each plant to get a different amount of nutrient solution. Every plant drinks at a different rate, so it's really nice to be able to control how much each plant gets. Also, this is expandable. Down the road, if you decide you would like to fully automate your grow, you can purchase the digital scales and drain pump module as an upgrade kit. Hello, this is an interesting looking system. I see you mention there is an upgrade kit to add scales and drain pump but I don't see this upgrade kit on your site? When will that be available?

Thanks for the quick response. I see the components come in the advanced kit so I figured they were available, very cool. Got a serious debate going in my head now, that Cad conversation rate is a killer. Appreciate you getting back to me.

no issues with clear tubing? seems like black silicone would have no issues with algae. at least it does in my feed lines.

Yes, you will see algae start to form inside the lines. My next production run I plan on going with a colored tube. The algae is unsightly, but I haven't noticed it affecting anything negatively. Even with a colored tubing, my guess is that there is still algae buildup. You just cant see it. The amount of light that grow lights put out will penetrate to some degree most materials.

I plan on running 1” pvc along my back wall to run my water lines into the room. Then drill holes at each plant site to run the line to each plant. I’ll probably end up grabbing some black tubing locally if I see algae growing.

my few tries with clear tubing was more like when not if the algae grows. even the blue tubing on the sides of my waterfarms get some crap in them.

other than that it looks like a pretty slick set up @Sk-one

@bk78 I remember you saying that you might have some long runs from the pump module to your plants. I just tested the pumps with a 3 foot section of tubing on the output, and then with a 20 foot section on the output. With the 3 foot section, the pump moved 327 ml in a 10 second run. With the 20 foot section of tubing, it moved 275 ml in a 10 second run. So the longer tube definitely affects the flow, but not so much that the system won't function. It's a good example of why I say to make sure to have the system completely installed before you calibrate the pumps :)

Nice. The longest run will be about 12’, so we should be good.

Ive went over the manual multiple times now lol. Should have everything set up right the first time I hope

@Sk-one can individual pump stations be replaced if one should fail or would the whole module need to be replaced?
If you're handy with a soldering iron they can be easily replaced. If one is inadvertently clogged, they are very easy to disassemble and clean. I'm going to be posting a video on how to do that soon. We always recommend using fully soluble nutrients to avoid clogging the feed pump module, and cloth/fabric bags for planting containers to limit the amount of debris that ends up in drip trays.
