What I do is make a 50/50 solution of boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits.
Paint your deck, wooden fence, whatever.
With such a high percentage of oil in the solution your backyard will smell like a freshly stained deck for a month.

I don’t pretend to know shit but I wonder if there’s some sort of compound that would absorb smells, sort of like baking soda or whatever in the fridge.
