ive been using both very successfully for 3 crops. they work well together. but my plants outgrew my tent if the 1k was still there. so i have to go probably 7 weeks all led to finish these. they havent slowed down a bit.

nice job dude, but i think the hps is doing most the flowering..

wow man thats alot.. What like 3 grand + for the LEDS alone right? and then how much for the 2500 watts of hps? another grand or so, u have a lot invested in this grow..

so id estimate, with fans, soil, grow tent, nutes ect. u put over 5 grand huh? actually now that i think about it its gotta be more..gl man they look good though!

What!! Man you are impossible...That's the reason why I did not respond to the other post. Thanks for the little lesson on lighting but I have read a lot of different studies and have actually seen a few performed, that shows that lumens measure the light that is least useful for plants

Lumens don't mean much of anything..Lumens are what your eyes see..the plant is much more sensitive to light than our eyesight . If Lumens really meant so much, then we would all be using Low Pressure Sodium..LoL...even your little diagram that you posted for me shows that. Just look..the highest lumens per watt are LPS. Yet we all know they are crappy for growing plants. So save me the lumens per watt speach..please..I already heard it a thousand times

As far as the buds in that LED grow not being as fat as yours..lol..you also said you used a 400 Watt..That LED grow was only 250 wat..so I would say that they come out about even. They are not that much smaller than the buds in your avatar, but your light produces almost double wattage (400>250).

Besides..light is not the only factor to look at when growing Huge Buds. There are many other factors that contribute to the size of the buds. Nutrients, medium, temeprature, and moisture.

Experience also has a part to play.You and the guy who did the LED grow have different skill levels, which is another thing you have to look at. Not as many growers use LEDs because they are new technology and they are expensive. So I shouldn't have to tell you that the average HPS grow has more experience behind it than the average LED grow. Most LED growers are new growers..so of course you might not see any spectacular grows...that doesn't mean that the LEDs lack potential...there could be a number of other factors that you are not paying attention to.

I did not mean to call you an idiot. That was my bad...but yo I do think you are being somewhat narrow minded by judging something without having first done it yourself...

yeah it was alot to pay, but i wont mind if they run as long as there supposed to. im willing to make investments. i bought the last couple fixtures after smoking a quarter pound of led buds. that was a bit ago, when i didnt veg.

Its a matter of technology. I think down the road (5 years or so) panels will be the cutting edge.
Right now they're just to pricey and.the technology is still early in comparrison to HID hps\mh.

listen, i took 1 rip off my bowl of weed i grew with a 400 watt hps and im blown, in fact, too blown to read all this you wrote, but i will skim it..
1. is so wrong im not going to take the time to explain but do more research..
2. My little diagram is STICKIED on RIU FAQs so Im sure its not correct...
3. WOW you are kinda thick skulled then, you know u can actually buy lumen meters.. but im sure those are just for show... kinda like LEDS
4. I spent $120 what does 250 watt cost like $1000, wow u got me on that one, oh and i yield more....

thats as far as im gonna go cause im tired of tearing this post u spent all ur time on..

5. ok last one, guess what that buds from my first grow... :weed: over 5 oz from 2 plants..

at least it was steered away from do they work to the expense of them. eventually the price will go down. peace
