F'in spider mites

Two conditions the little bastards like: hot and dry. Misting the plants might help, or you can try lowering the temperature a few degrees, which is supposed to slow down their feeding and breeding. Some say oils like neem will do the trick, others claim they've tried oils that didn't work. Aside from predator mites, another organic method is spinosad, which you can get in Capt. Jack's Dead Bug spray. Oh, another thing, if you have a CO2 system, you can hike up the CO2 concentration in the air until it suffocates the mites and it won't hurt the plants, or so I'm told.

mighty wash.It might not be organic but w/ mites-Fawk Organic.Just kill 'em.Mighty wash kills eggs.It can be used it bud if need be.I've tried it all.Even 10,000 ppm CO2 levels


Mighty Wash is 99.8335 % water and it works for me
 
Had the same problem here. Then I remembered that when working as a lab worker we used to mix Sevin dust in with the mices' bedding when there was a mite infestation. So I bought a can and tried it on one plant. Bingo - no more mites. It's benign to plants so give that a try. BigSteve.
 
Had a terrible infestation in one of my grows awhile back. I fought them off and they appeared to be gone when I was mid flower still didn't come back after harvest. However they reappeared on my next batch and I went to the hydro store asked my man for the strongest shit they had.

I kind of felt bad after using it. Didn't even give them a chance this time around. They died and stayed dead. Haven't had any of them come around for a long time. Only issue is it isn't organic. So I'd suggest using floramite as a last resort, or if you decide to not go organic and you wanna make sure those bastards die.
 
plant vitality plus, it aint organic but it deffo kills the fuckers, or mightywash is good, as for organic maybe predetor mites???
 
There are different kinds of spider mites also, they differ depending on your region. The ones where I live tend to be black or gray. They seem to be controlled or eliminated easily enough with a pyrethrin spray, repeat applications a few days to a week apart. Pyrethrins are botanically derived insect neurotoxins which decompose quickly in air and light.
 
If you want organic then try Diatomaceous Earth, it's a powder, you put a fan in the room and throw some de into it. The resulting cloud will cover everything. The stuff acts like glass shards to the mites and tears their bodies up. If you want to use chemicals then try floramite. It's illegal in some states but you can get it on ebay. That shit will nuke those little fucks dead. All that other stuff that everyone is telling you to try, the mites are going to use it as party favors. Been there, done that. Good luck mans cause mites are a real bitch to deal with if you only take half measures.
 
Lady bugs!!!

They will eat them mites but not your plants!!

Available at most nurseries!!
Liquid lady bug is an organic concentrate you can use to kill em also.

My suggestion..

Use a Shop Vac, get you an attachment that is very small, used for cleaning dust out of car vents and whatnot..

Vac away the webs, and the mites....
Be diligent, and maintain cleanliness
 
I've done lady bugs and spent a ton on preditor mites.I wouldn't consider spending a dime on either anymore.So far the Mighty Wash has killed eggs and they haven't grown ammune to it either
 
Thank for all the ideas I went down to the local shop and they has some sns mite killer started yesterday so far so good just spray 3 times a day it's the best stuff they had from what they said
 
Azamax. I got it at the local hydro store. It works! It's a hormone disrupter. It keeps the mites from molting. It also kills them, and they stay away from plants that have been sprayed with it. It's not even expensive. Best of all it's OMRI listed.

... Then your plants will be covered in a DE-dust. Doesn't seem ideal for many situations, or during bloom.

Pyrethrins always worked for me when needed. The key is following up, re-apply and be vigilant. For your health and that of others you don't want to use anything persistent or potentially toxic to people or pets.
