final stages of flowering questions

i now have only one female after I discovered that one that i thought was a female, also had male sex organs. as far as calender days, this one female is scheduled to be harvested in the next three weeks. I have heard theories that you should have the light off for two days before harvesting and such like that. are they true? is there anything else I will need to do? besides cutting and hanging, such as lowering water or nutrients, etc. Any help here would be great, as this is my first time. but its looking good.

flushing them is not needed if you cure your buds well after drying them slowly in preparation of a perfect air fermentation. if you not looking into weeks of curing and not generally interested into prime tasting buds you can go for water curing as well and be done in less the 2 weeks. water curing adds the little benefit that it makes the smoothest smoke you can cure;)

the plant leaves all of a sudden are turning yellow! what did I do wrong and how can I reverse this negative effect?

It's certainly advisable to only feed plants plain water in the last 7-10 days if you've been using chemical based nutrients. I wouldn't want all that excess chemical build up in my bud and curing doesn't remove it either.

The plant gets its energy to grow from nutrients, the sun co2 amongst other things, so if you drop the sunlight for 3 days before you harvest, your dropping grow time.

I think its better to give it sunlight right up until the cut
