Finding Heating/Propagation Mats Locally

1. http://www.google.com
2. Click 'Maps'
3. Type in your city and state followed by 'Hydroponics' or 'Gardening'
4. ???
5. Profit

If you're feeling lucky, you can check your local major retailer stores like you said.

If you're feeling a little innovative, then you could attempt to construct one yourself.

Thanks, I'm more than an hour away from any actual gardening/hydroponics shops, but have the major retailers near me - hence the question about finding something at one of them. I'm not having any luck there...

Interesting suggestion about making my own - I'm not sure how I'd go about it... at least not in a way that seems a) safe or b) safe... or c) effective

If you decide to do it yourself, just be creative.
You could buy a propagation tray and dome for less than $5 online, and then put a heating pad under the complete set.

Or... buy a cake and use the container as a humidity dome.

just use a heating pad that you can get at wal-mart. keep the setting on low. thats what i put under my trays and it works fine.
