Been working on a new grow box for a while now. My 2 foot tall, 16 inch wide box isn't quenching my thirst for growing...
new space is 3 feet by 2 feet wide and about a foot and a half deep. I built it all myself

theres the before picture, just the frame

inside view, there are holes for the fans.

these are just fans i took from some old computers and rigged up for intake and outtake.

Lined the box with mylar, secured with silver tape and bada boom. once the fans were in place put the light fixtures up above, using 2 power strips, double socket bulb adapters, and 100 watts of cfl lights..
tried to add enough for 132 watts but the temperature rose above a hundred degrees f. not to sure how to fix this without adding more fans. took a couple lights out and its right under 100 watts of light now. very bright in there though so it may be ok?
also used some air conditioner filters on the back of the fans.

what y'all think? its fully functional now with a timer and i'm ready to rock!
got some seeds germinating in jiffy pots while the last batch gets ready to harvest!!!!
thanks rollitup!!

How could i reduce the heat in here without removing lights?
That amount of fans should work better than that. Are they running on a 7-12 volt transformer. Need plenty of fan speed. How are the fans configured, 2 intake 2 exhaust or what? Could be the location of your fans. They might not be circulating air ALL thru your box.

remove the filters also

yeah theres 2 outtake and 2 intake.
thats what im thinking i need to do is get another fan in there because i cant take any more from the lights. i was thinking a little 6in clip-on fan placed inside or cut some kind of exhaust hole on the top of the box. what do you think?
and honestly i cant figure out the voltage.. i took them out of a couple computers

I reduced heAt by adding 1/4 in plexiglass under the lights.
And then sealing the heat at the top an venting it.
To get smaller plants closer I stack em on styrafoam chunks.
