Finishing Early?

I have a strain called Girl Scout Cookies that has been flowering for 51 days.
Everywhere I have read it says to look for a 9-10 week flowering time. (63-70 days)
This is my first grow, but they look nearly done to me! Most of the pistils are brown, the calyxes are swollen, and some buds (closest to the light) show 25% orange trichomes - the rest are mostly cloudy with some clear (10%).
At this point, I'm afraid that if I keep them flowering for 9-10 weeks, they're going to over-ripe.

Is it possible that some plants would finish flowering early?
I'm thinking I'll still wait the extra 12 days, but just thought I would ask.

It is possible especially because it was probably grown from a cross of GSC. its probably crossed with an OG and alot of them are 50-55 day finishers depending on the variety/breeder.

So yeah it can be done very possible. If you have more than one pull one now and pull one later. Or harvest the top half of the plant, drop the lights, and let the bottom half go for the extra week or so.

I've been growing GSC for several months now. In my experience it's about a 9 week strain. I've noticed that it never has all that many amber trichomes and seems to make white hairs to the very end.

Here is a pic of my last batch very close to the end. Notice the white hairs. Never the less it is very, very good and I like an up beat high.

Good rule of thumb for me. Let her tho an extra week after you think she is done.. especially if u want a.couch lock high.. plus. most strains put on. Weight last few weeks.

Budbro. I do like the idea of taking two different harvests of a. Plant. Especially with low plant numbers. The bottom will put on more weight. And mature more. Will Help total yield FYI. I've learned patients pays. You will be rewarded. :-$

I grew 2 GSC plants last season. I harvested 1 at 8 1/2wks and the other at 10wks. Both were very sticky and potent. The later one was a bit more stinky and had a bit more of a "couch lock " to it. All in all there wasn't much of a difference. From your pics it looks like they might swell up a little more. If you notice that the buds have stopped swelling its usually a sign to harvest. Doing 2 harvests sounds like a good idea to me. I love to experiment with my grows, that's why I did 2 different harvests. GL.
