Hey guys, In my attic I used an adapter to convert a light bulb socket into a 2 prong outlet. I connected a light fixture with a total of 6 CFLs and 2 fans to and extencion cord which i pluged into a timer that got pluged into the 2 prong outlet (light bulb socket & fans--extention cord--timer--adapter--light bulb socket), I ran it for about an hour and it doesnt seen too unsafe but I would like some other opinions, If leave will I come home to my house or to a pile of ashes? :blsmoke:

thanks:peace:

Yea i though of this and i went out and bought 1 but then i noticed that the timer is only a 2 prong outlet and the surge protector needs 3, and the light socket adapter is also only a 2 prong outlet, ive looked into adding a ground wire but i really dont think its possible, any suggestions?

Yeah the 2 prong is ok for CFL's but when you start getting deeper into the hoppy your probably gonna want an HPS and with that comes an exhaust fan. Both of them require a grounded socket.
