Well, if it is right under the light that can throw off the reading, but your plants are still showing signs of heat stress so it is a problem. If you are gaining nearly 20F from ambient than it is also your airflow, you should be able to keep it with 5-10F with enough flow.

so the temps sit around 79 when i leave my closet door open but i think the radient heat must be enough to heat the closet at night when its shut and it gets up to around 82 to 84. I dont believe that this would heat stress the girls. I just think that the la diva got too heat stressed to recover. Her buds still look pretty damn good though IMO. I dunno she shtill looks to be pretty hefty. However the blue mammoth seems to not have been phased too much by the extreme conditions my dumb ass subjected these girls to and seems to be big enough to maybe double or triple la diva in size. she has easily three times as many tops as la diva. i will get some pics up shortly.

so are u guys suggesting that i change my setup to filter > light > exhaust with fan on the outside of the tent pulling through both the light and the filter then pushing into the ac?

Not sure why you would need to go into the AC, but most fans lose a lot of power when pushing.

I am exhausting into the ac return because my it was my best option for what to do with the hot air coming out of my tent. If i exhausted straight into the closet or even the room the closet is in the temps quickly became way to high as the ambient in the area that the tent was in began to rise so i had to put it somewhere. My apt shares an attic and crawl space with other ppl so that was not an option but just on the other side of the sheetrock I'm my closet was the ac return so i thought it would be perfect to vent my hot air straight into the ac for it to be chilled again and recycled back into the ambient of my house.

U guys think that adding a cheap home depot duct fan or bilge blower to the exhaust on the outside of the tent would boost my cfm back up to sufficient levels?

I have an inline carbon filter already and smell is not an issue at all. It is scrubbing the air very sufficiently. Heat is the issue.

Hard to say on the additional booster fan, but venting into the AC should be fine as long as it is not restricting airflow.

I know it is not restricting air flow because there is still definitely negative pressure in the closet that the ac return is in.

The only problem then may be "fresh" air if you are just constantly recycling the air you may be running very low CO2. Is there a constant supply of fresh air as well?

I do open the window in my room from time to time but not really. The main thing is the heat though imho

Try and take a pic when the light JUSt goes off and use flash,,, much better to see. But imo SHE LOOKS like she is getting burnt. How fAR away is your light?
and are you getting good air circ?

My light never goes off. She is definitely burnt in the fan leaves but some of the smaller newer leaves look ok. I have a small desk fan blowing a small amount of outside air up under the canopy and a box fan in top of the light facing up and turned in high which i feel circulates the air pretty well. On that note, I leave the top zipper open to let the box fan kick some heat out if the top of the tent at all times. If i don't do this my temps get to high. Pretty much i need more airflow. I need to do some serious work because i don't have room for larger equipment. I need to make sure all of my seals are tight and maybe switch up the order of the exhaust system. I have a couple days off soon and i will try and get this shit nailed down. I Will post more detailed pics of the whole setup tomarrow and if yall could chime in with ideas/designs that will work with my current setup (can't really afford more equipment right now) that would be awesome. I really appreciate the knowledge some of you guys are droppin. Just thought I'd add that cause i feel like even though i will be the only one enjoying the end product, this was most definitely a team effort thanks to you guys. I am trying to soak up everything so the next go around will only get better.

I find that one thing that lowers heat a lot is the lights off period. Having that period of darkness lowers the temp to a level that it couldn't get to with the light on. It's easy to keep a cool tent cool. Not so easy to cool an already hot tent. I wouldn't mess with your light schedule in flower though. Just a tip for future.

Definitely try to post some pictures of the entire setup. If I'm imagining this right you have a tent in a closet, which might be reducing your passive intake flow. Is it a tight fit?

An ambient temp of 73 in the summer is incredible. Like everyone has been saying, you should not be having heat issues.

Dude i have almost the exact same size tent with a 400. I have a 6" pulling 440cfm but i dial it down to about half power. I then put at the bottom 6" opening a inline duct fan that plugs straight into the 12 its pushing probably like 160cfm into the tent. I found that i could have all the neg pressure in the world and not suck enough air to keep cool i also had to force some ambient air in to keep it cool. I sit at about 75 degrees 50% humidity at an ambient temp of 73 with this setup. I hope that sheds some light?

Most def man. I have the next two days off so i may pick up a duct fan and rework my setup and see if that helps. I wish we could all have a smoke session at my place and figure this shit out. Lol
