Okay, you need to get serious with your ScroG. It seems like you kind of have the right idea, but you want to be a little more assertive. One thing to remember is, start your ScroG any time you want. But the best time to do it is when the plant is about 10" tall. You want your ScroG to be about 8" above your soil. Another thing to remember is if you hang your ScroG from counterbalanced ropes or chains, you can easily adjust the height to relieve pressure. If you have a Sativa under that ScroG you are going to wish you had it on ropes. It looks like you might have a hyrbrid, I can't tell for certain, but if I had to guess, I would say it's 45% indica. Then again, I could tell you better if I could see where the stem leaves the soil and an aerial shot of the leafs.
A ScroG with feet is hard to clean under. If you spill a bucket of water you're fucked. Lol, ask me how I know.
So, I have noticed the best ScroG is if you have double dual branching plant. In other words, divide the stem into four even sides by topping. It looks like you have topped it at least once, so that's good. The main Kola will be a tad smaller than if you had just one Kola if you top, but that's okay, we're going for weight, not bud size. That's what a ScroG is all about. You ScroG in veg only. There are many arguments to this, but the truth is, if you stress your plant during flower you could end up with a hermie, and ScroG'n during flower will reduce your overall yield. What you will want to do is, when she hits 10" lower a ScroG 8" above the soil. Let the branch grow through the ScroG until a node meets the ScroG. Then, tuck your top. Only tuck the tops, do not tuck the lateral branches. When you tuck, start moving it to the center. Once it reaches the center, keep training it to grow in circles, around and around until you have about 80% of the screen filled up. Then, switch to flower and leave it the fuck alone. You don't want a hermie by stressing your plant out and you don't want your ScroG to get out of control bushy.
But you ain't done yet, mister, now you need to go under the ScroG and remove every single leaf that doesn't get direct light, and remove every single small branch and lateral branch that doesn't reach the ScroG. What you want to do is clone them, veg the clones for two weeks, pot them in 12" planter bags and switch them all to flower. This will do several things: It will allow your mother to use all available nutrients to feed the tops, no leech growth to feed underneath, taking away from the top development. The other thing this accomplishes is, you can get a top off of every branch by cloning. This is called a ScroG and SoG. Do as I said and you will have a sea of green potent enough to make the nosehairs curl up on a dead nun.
You will wind up with anywhere from 40 to 120 tops doing it like this. Good luck, and smoke one for me.
