I haven’t harvested it yet but cut a half gram nug off to sample and got 22 mature seeds. I’m sure I’ll be pushing 200 when it’s all done and dug through.

planted two and here we are today

I’m assuming there’s going to be a huge variety in every category with these seeds, they’re as opposite as you can get. Even a couple days in they look pretty different.

it’s going to be a long project but I’d like to find some cool stuff to try and stabilize out of this.

if anybody has tips post away, I’ve just barely gotten to the point I’d consider myself a somewhat competent grower so there’s a lot to learn.

I'm so jealous I finally popped some seeds I aquired and im so stoked to get a male because all I have are clones. How did you pollinate it? I have one male that I want to pollinate two females with but I'm not quite sure how I want to do it yet other than another totally septate tent. I'm about to finish one grow then I want to breed them. Im afraid to use my normal tent because of I guess pollen contamination. Curious how you did it.

Flowered the male in my grow area until it got to about the point in that close up picture then I moved it to the garage.

then I put pieces of paper in cone shapes to collect the pollen that dropped.

Then I’d take a little paintbrush and roll it in the pollen on the paper and just paint the buds. I had no idea how potent pollen was of how many seeds a bud could produce at that point. I way overdid it.

the bud I took and got 22 seeds from was one I didn’t even try to seed.

you can also cut the branch off before the pods open and dry it out, then crush it up to use. Way easier to save it that way too. I had reversed a few clones of different strains and they didn’t really drop pollen like the real male did so I crushed it up and painted it on hoping it would do something.

ended up with hundreds of fem seeds from each clone this size

Yeah you really only need a little bit. I accidentally over did it my first time. I had clone that I pollinated and a few weeks later I couldn't see any seeds so I hit it again, and waited... Man a couple of the buds were all seeds, nothing really to even smoke and it was loaded with a mix of mature and mostly mature seeds. Learned my lesson!
Now I collect the pods, crush them up, and use a fine tipped paint brush like the kind for finishing work and dab it on a couple lower sites under the canopy. Works way better and more controlled and only get a few hand full of seeds instead of accidentally pollinating the whole plant with too much.

Right now i have a veg area putsode the te
and i flower in the tent. Im considering after I harvest my current grow doing a pollinated grow 13 females and 1 male. (Its what my home made rig holds) From what I understand the pollen is only viable for so long right? So what's the worst case I end up with a crap ton of seeds and no smokeable bud? Then my next grow maybe has some stray seeds if the pollen even stays viable that long? I grow my meds just for me so I don't mind skipping I'll have plenty I just want seeds and to idk do some tinkering. I don't even know what the strains are I just know I like em

You probably don't just want to let it blow all over your whole grow space. I'd collect it and dust it on buds or put a bag over a single branch or at least something to control it a little.
As far as plants being pollinated later down the road, I've never noticed that happen. I just dust my buds, let them develop to maturity, harvest and standard clean up and reset. Then again I'm not just letting the pollen fly so maybe mixed results.

Yeah definitely don’t do the whole tent. Even just dusting a couple inches of a bud should get you plenty of seeds. Like I said I just pulled 22 from basically a bowl sized nug. If you get it really good every pod grows a seed and it’s like a bunch of grapes. By the time you pull them all out there’s just a little stem left and no bud.

Finally getting the next step going.

I’ve got two ready for a transplant and then flip shortly after. So far doesn’t really look like either parent aside from having the bright Laos color, and also 9 finger leaves. The SP only had a few 7 finger ones.
