Hey,

This is a branch of my old thread because I think it was getting to cluttered, and it was in the wrong forum anyway.

First off, I now have 3 plants, they are all 9 weeks old and on their first day of flowering. All three have shown signs of female so that's good. Like I said, this is my first grow so I would love as much input as possible.

READ!!!!!!! - Before you post, understand I know these plants are stretched. I was a total newb when I started these and had my "single tube grow light hahaha" about a foot and a half from them. Besides that, they look healthy and look like they are coming along just fine.

Lights - 12/12
- 5 23w CFL
- 3 27w CFL
- 1 65w CFL (300w output)

I was using Miracle Grow "singles" for ferts while in veg. I am about to switch to another type of flowering fert the next time I water. I am not at home right now so I will edit this post later on tonight with the name of the fert and soil. There is also a fan running on them at all times.

***** ALSO, can anyone tell me anything about the strain? These seeds were complete schwag bagseed.

nice plants. im also growing bag seeds, i just made my tread on cfl grows section, i hope my plants grow as nice as yours, good luck.

Looks good man. I'm on my first as well, about 6 days into flower, probably 6.5 weeks since germination.

You've got lots of light, which is good...do you know the spectrum? 2700k for flower...

I've got the same 65w cfl--from Lowes right? Those things are freaking massive! You may want to try getting some light to the lower branches--just throw a couple cfls about mid-plant height, it will make a huge difference!

Did you ever decide on nutes? And soil?

Plants look nice and healthy! The more light you can get on the them, the more and better the bud they'll produce. Not sure what you're budget/situation is like, but an hps would make a difference too...check out my journal in my signature--I've got a 150w hps and 11 cfls and 2 t5ho's.

Guys, Thanks A LOT for your input, i forgot to take pictures of the flowering nutes and soil when I was with my plants yesterday (they are not at my residence for certain reasons). I will get on that asap! Also, I like the lower lighting idea. I will be throwing in a couple more hanging cfl's in a couple days. other than that, props to yall for the help. keep it coming!!

** also yes its the 65w from lowes and YES it is HUGE! lol but i love it and it works real nice.

Looks good...you'll find on your next grow that if you keep your cfl's within a coupla inches off your plants, they'll grow nice and bushy:]

I'll post some pics of mine as soon as I can.
4-42w 2700k
2-26w 2700k
2-40w 4' gro lux
1-40w 4' cool white
1-40w 4' warm white

All the tubes are for sidelighting. 16 bagseed plants altogether. Oldest being 44 days old.
Just set my timer for 12/12 about an hour ago...lights will go out at 10pm tonight. Yippee!
Will thin down to best 4 women, any others will get revegged until they can go outside.
Don't believe anybody when they say you can't grow nice buds with cfl's, give your plants a little
tlc and you'll be pleasantly surprised. TLC=THC;}

Frosty, thanks man for the input - you dont know how many times I've heard "You should have put those lights closer to your plants" hahaha Believeeee me, Ill be doing that next time.

Good luck with your grow and yeah, I would love to see them!

Hello
First time poster long time reader, you popped my cherry :)

I am getting ready to start a closet grow and wondered if that 65 watt light from lowes is the same one in this link http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=46931-75774-017801997118&lpage=none.

Also, do you know the kelvin rating on that bulb by chance? is it on the packaging? or the bulb itself?

I like your design alot Im looking to do something probably 1/2 as big, got a few seeds "test" germinating now. May or may not plant them if/when they crack.

One small bit of advice, and it only applies if you HAVE to keep the smell under control. DEFINITELY thing about ventilation as soon as possible, because once you realize you need it you will have a very hard time eliminating it. Not speaking from personal experience as this is my first indoor grow, but some close friends have learned the hard way on that one, especially when in a closet.

Im interested to see how things turn out for ya, Ill subscribe for sure :)

OK cool, you are definately lucky that smell is not a problem haha! Ive been searching the internet for what seems like an eternity trying to figure out a way to either ventilate a closet or just somehow control the odor a bit. I polan to keep the door closed so fresh air is a big concern of mine too.

Also when you say they are getitn pretty smelly, do they smell up the whole house? outside the house at all? Also is your closet in a bedroom or like a hallway/living room closet?

I have more room than I thought to work with in my bedroom closet so Im thinking hopefully 4 healthy girls as an end product. Excited to see how yours turn out, they still a little stretched or are they bushing up by now?

Melthius- thanks man! i cant wait to see what happens either!!

Kolorblind - yeah they are still a bit strecthed because i messed them up so bad at the start....but they are bushing up quite a bit and are looking super healthy!

ill be posting pictures tonight for sure.

new pics added. flowering for a 6 days now, not to much change except for a lot more female hairs! any comments are appreciated!

Peace
