First CFL grow (Bubblelicious)

Hello, i have always been a HID user but after seeing some of these great results with CFL's i figured WTH might as well give CFL a try. I always veg'd with CFL's but never attempted to bud with them.

Anyways so i picked me up a 10 pack of Bubblelicious seeds (non fem'd). I planted all 10, 9 of them popped but the 10th died a miserable death because due to some mishap i put the cube upside down and the lil bugger died because it couldn't make way to the surface lol.

All Bubblelicious plants popped outta the soil on April 26.

These pics were taken today they are 11 days old. (the pics suck but hey its a $20 cam i bought so i could post this thread lol)

I am going to veg these 9 Bubblicious plants till they show sex then kill the males. After sex has been determined I am going to take at least 10 clones from each female and flower those. The plumpest/tastiest/smelliest etc plant that catches my eye after the end will become my mother and the rest of the females will be transplanted to the wild (not the budded plant, not doing any re-veg time )

yeah! I hear the bubbelicious is a choice one.. I wonder how many phenotypes are inherent in it. Good luck on your grow, what is the light/soil set up ? running 36k lumens flwr cycle w/ ph neutral soil...and salmon compost/ molasses on most and flushing the one plant now..

Before I started the cfl test run I decided that because I am going to try a CFL i would try and make everything else just as cheap for the run also :p lol  Well cheap as in the pieces are cheap. I may end up using a lot of watts for total coverage.

Soil: Is just plain old Potting soil (Gummers).
Light: 6 x23w(100w) (just current light mind you)
Flower Area: 2'x2'x5'
Veg Nutes: Shultz 10-15-10
Flower Nutes: Undecided as of yet.

ya ya you don't even have to say it. I am trying to swap from the wool :p and also trying to keep the whole CFL grow available from wally world & MJ-rs :? .. Well besides the cloning solution... Olivia's Cloning Gel.

Day 12

Just more daily pictures of the plants.
On 4 of the plants there is like 1/3inch lower node branch growth already.

I topped 3 of them today since they have some nice branching started already. No sense in waiting to see the sex to get as many cutting sites as i can :p .If you look at the 3x3 of pp the ones i topped are BCF

GHI
DEF
ABC

This camera does no justice maybe ill either A buy a good camera or B get a magnifying glass and try and focus in on new growth)

Ugh so things aren't going so well now,
all my leaves have gone and withered up,
i would go and attempt to water them but there are fire trucks in the way.

JK

I am going to just keep topping these. probably gonna take x4 clones from each possible mother & flower them next to sex these moms. kill the males of course. When i clone a new mom i may try supercropping.

The grow is looking good man.
Thanks for the tips by the way.
I already scraped that grow but I have a nice Skunk I'm growing now. I'll probably start a new journal soon enough.

I'm sorry to hear that :( Ya i have had some fears that my lighting would fall but hopefully its secured enough, maybe ill go to MJers or wally world and get me some of those belt clasps (the roller that catches the belt so it stays on you etc) that may make a very good way to raise @ lower the lights.

Day 16

I moved 7 of the 9 to a little bit of a larger container. I am not going to need alot of rooting space for these since a clone from each possible female will be set asside for a future mom.

With the current rate of growth of all lower branching by this time next week I should be able to take x4 clones from each possible mother.
