First closet grow. CFL/Fluorescent

like i said i hope it works out. hate to see anybody lose a plant.
good bag of soil that would last 3-4 plants is $25 bucks and a cheap pot for $2.
not saying your not capable of running hydro. but maybe easier to get a feel for plant health and plant needs out of soil.
i mean soil chuck the plant in soil and water when pot is light. no ph no messing with nutes or cleaning rez's.
but again good luck hope it works out.
No ph in soil? I thought it was harder to control ph in soil because it took longer to adjust? Most definitely considering other options if this plant does die.

Need help! Top half looks ready for harvest, bottom is not quite ripe but plant now hit growth spurt. Ill figure out how to post pics. Can i cut top half while the rest continues to grow?
If you can get pics that would help but I haven't made it to a harvest yet. I've heard you can chop off the main colas that are ready and the undergrowth will fill out in the next weeks

yeah can def harvest like that. i just did my blue widow.
i don't own a ph pen or any of the such.
when i recycle my soil i mix in a bit of sweet lime which controls the ph.
i started off with fox farms ocean forest soil($25 a bag) supposedly ph'd to 6.5 which i supposedly perfect for a soil grow.
i either use rain water or melted snow for the most part but also use my well water about 20% of the time. i drink it tastes fine to me but cannot comment on ph.
i ran my blue widow on all organic super soil. but have run my pineapple express with a bi-weekly feed of dyna gro foliage pro.
but if your gonna just run bottles nutes like dyna gro, canna, jungle juice you have to adjust ph accordingly.
people who use bottle nutes on soil go water, nutes, water, nutes, water, nutes usually every other time water they feed.
so you can see where if the nutes/feed watering wasn't ph'd you could have problems.
but i choose simple route and have great success.

Damn that's pretty fair. Still seeing new growth but she's not recovering like I would've hoped. Maybe ill give her another week and start over with soil if she doesn't look recovered

i doubt the most leaves will recover. as long as your new growth is nice and healthy all you can ask for.

Still looking bleak. My work schedule hasn't allowed me to care for her like I should be which is another reason I'm leaning towards dirt. She's still growing new leaves but she just looks all sad still.

if you can get another clone going in dirt. just in case it fails then you won't be starting from day one again.
hope this works out for you tho sucks getting a set back.
my first grow ended up being male so that put me 40 days back off the start. but gotta roll with the punches and persevere.

Yes I think I have made up my mind to scrap the hydro setup and go for a soil rig. Ill be feeding with the nutrients I already have so any tips on what I should do...? I'm going to start researching now.
