First Day

I planted my seed yesterday, it has not sprouted yet. how much light does it need if any?

None till it sprouts. Make sure its dark, 75 degree's and moist. This always has good results for me. Check twice a day, if it has sprouted put it under lights. Make sure they are far away, 12 inches or more.

12 inches?
i thought the lights were susposed to be as close as possible?

Not for the first week. Sprouts are sensitive to light and heat.
