So is it just me or are some of these buds a bit skimpy/small looking...?
Also I dipped my ppm reader in by the roots and she said 4230 ppm apparently and yes that is 4230 not 423

I think maybe a salt buildup? Clean out of Rez maybe required

I didn’t even know Plants could survive at 4000+ PPMs. If your TDS meter is accurate, I’d change out the solution ASAP and get the PPM’s down below 1400.

I top, lollipop & SCROG the sh!t out of my plants to direct all the plants energy into maximizing colas. I’m guessing you’ve got at least 4 weeks left to go, so those buds should swell up nicely if the high PPMs don’t kill them 1st.

She’s due for the chop in 14 days max I just cleaned out the Rez and reset it too 930ppm

I hope they swell up some over the next 2 weeks, some are nice and far already but a lot of them are still skimpy

What’s the strain? And that plant is so thick & bushy, it’s blocking light to the lower colas & buds which substantially diminishes bud growth.

Nice! Should be tasty.
How much light are you using?
I trim anything below the canopy and anything that’s not getting good lighting.

Brang her down today
Day 56 was gonna go until day 59 but what the heck,

gonna leave her for 5-7 days

flick off the sugar leaf then see what she weighs! :)

so I’ve definately enjoyed my first dwc experience let’s just hope she pays off!
Start planning what’s in the bucket next too BFD3EE82-F82B-48CC-A4FD-B83D01EB2002.jpeg99FE2DCF-8361-4222-BEAA-DBBBED9EFB59.jpegA59187A7-8CFB-43FE-A2BD-70C9E8E69D4F.jpeg49F08D25-7D5C-40E2-B2F1-0316DD859002.jpeg92E77E3D-882C-4555-A5E8-9F64B438FC14.jpeg0C6FB815-406C-4D6B-80E8-06245E3CA23C.jpeg95BE0968-FC89-44FD-B081-16D1DEAC4739.jpegD4A42F9A-3094-4009-93E5-8FB6B4F191D6.jpeg

Trimmed her up, weighed her, even though she’s still a little wet I will give her another weigh when she goes in the jars in another day or 2

slightly wet weight was:
247grams

not gonna lie I’m kinda disappointed,

I was hoping for double if not triple that especially seeing as she was under 1200watts of hps for a while and then no less than 600 after that and the fact she had 9 weeks of veg,,, I could have got the same yield with 6 soil plants and a 4 week veg,,,

however I’m not going to give up just yet, back to the drawing board.... again...

Ok... so you want to keep your reservoir between 65-73 F. Use a chiller or heat mat to maintain temp. Best to get some Hydrogaurd or the equivalent to keep roots healthy. 1200 ppm is on the high side - I personally don't go much over 900 ppm.

What nutes are you going to be running?

I
20 is probably OK, 25 is going to be pushing it unless you either run beneficial microbes or a sterile system.
I ran my RDWC system for 3 seasons with rez temps always around 25degC by using hydroguard or GFF to outcompete pythium.
Since it seems that you're in the UK, the availability of these may make running a sterile system easier.
I've done about 50 DWC grows in RubberMaid tubs since '01 and going to get back into again. Been playing in the dirt the last while and it's a major PITA with crappy results. Just not a dirt farmer but can kill it with DWC.

Used mainly AN 3-part from the beginning and with RO water can go the whole grow without changing nutes once with great results. I may do a change after the stretch then switch to Lucas formula style feeding. Just Big Bud and Rhino Skin for AN additives. Any old CalMag will do and of course some Epsom salts. With the pH perfect nutes I never, ever bother checking pH. Just ppm and then add nutes in small amounts to raise or maintain my target ppm.

Start clones around 300 ppm then go up gradually to no more than 1000 tho that can be too high if your RH is low. 500 can be too high here in the winter with grow room RH around 20% a lot of the time. The plants go thru way more water and take up more nutes than they should which leads to toxic salts buildup that really starts to show around mid-flower.

I always ran sterile tubs using food grade H2O2 but 10 years ago or so built a chiller out of a water cooler and fountain pump so could keep the nute temps down to 65F easy. Stopped the peroxide and never got root rot.

I've had 3"/day growth in later veg. Never seen that in soil or soilless.

Good luck!

:peace:
Between & 1/2 lb to a pound per plant, depending on how long I veg them, keeping them healthy, pH management & fresh water...
My tents are only 3 x 4, so I can only do so much with that space.

Just bumping the thread, any input on how I can improve are appreciated! :)

Glancing back through the thread, I didn't see what strain that plant is, or if it came from a clone or seed. It seems as though your plant grew well without any serious problems so I would say try some different/better genetics. People don't seem to stress enough how important a good pheno is to producing serious weight. I grew 5 different phenos last grow, and 1 plant produced as much as all the other 4 combined. This grow is only that strain in my little 2'x3' cabinet and I should outyield your plant while only using 285 watts. Not because I am a better grower than you, but this pheno kicks ass.

The strain/pheno you grew may just not be a great yielder. Your plant still yielded around half pound which isn't bad, but on a grams per watt + considering the time in veg, it could have been quite a bit better. I would think a pound+ would be reasonable to expect with that much light. Don't give up.
