First DWC try

So im a tride and true soil guy, about a year ago i bought a 4 bucket dwc system (no reservoir) was gonna set it up but got cold feet, so now im ready to give at least a single bucket a try, so i got bucket, basket air pump, clay pebble and nutes, (everything is already black except air hose which i will be changing over ) dynagro nutes, got dg grow,foliage pro and bloom and also maxibloom, my plan is to use 1/4 strength nutes ph'ed around 6 to 6.5 with clone in a root riot, so where am i going wrong? Wanna try to do this without buying any additional supplies unless i have to

foliage pro or maxibloom. skip the grow and bloom from DG. i always have a Mg shortage with foliage pro so i add epsom salts. i'm usually ok with maxibloom as is.

try 1/8 strength first. you'll burn a plant before you starve a plant in dwc

I actually kicked the grow to the curb a while ago, it gave me all kinds of trouble in soil, soooo this setup will work then?

yep. get something to prevent root rot.

Im totally blind to this so what products do i need to prevent root rot? And what is target ph for dwc?

i use southern ag garden friendly fungicide. bennies similar to hydroguard. or you can go sterile with HTHpool shock or peroxide.

5.5 to 6.1 for pH

and yes i seem to remember you but i couldnt remember what your issue was at the time.

Im sick of shit living in soil, seen larvae squirming around yesterday, i use products as a maintenance for fungus gnats and such, i think they may be springtails because after watering they flip around real vigorous, have not caught or seen any gnats on sticky pads in about 8 months

I have peroxide on hand, whats the ratio for 5 gallon reservoir?

i agree. my outdoor greenhouse is for the veggies. the indoor room is for the weed wiht nice and clean hydro.

hydro is easy and hard at the same time. things can go wrong really fast but you can fix things really fast too.

This is just going to be an experiment, im assuming you have to change resivor water at some point?

After a quick search seems it boils down to who you talk to!!!Maybe ill just run and get something else

We use peroxide in our bait tanks when we go fishing and its like giving shad crack

How often on water changes?

when the plant gets big, you'll basically be changing most if not all the water daily.
