first ever grow

hi all this is going to be my first grow im like 10 days into it already i have been reading on hee awhile now and learned alot so here it goes my setup is a grow box lined with reflective taping its about 2x2x3.5 i have a 3in 250cfm computer fan for fesh air intake and a 3in 500cfm for exhaust and also a small fan in box for circulation i also have a small fish tank air pump hooked to a air stone at the bottom of the pot for more 02 in soil my lights consist of 16-13 watt 2 pin plug in cfl's temp is around 78 constantly water is bottled water nestle pure life the soil is just potting soil from the dollar store but it does the job good and i do feed some nutes its mg but i only give them water every 3 days and 10% nutes every 3rd water i origanilly planted 5 but i had a accident and broke 4 so only one survived which is the 10 day old one and i just recently planted 6 more yesterday and they are all about an inch out of the ground this morning so i think im good to go and by the way my light are on 24/0 any comments would be appreciated i plan on adding some screw in cfl's to hang right above the plants and im not sure if i wanna do a very small 4 plant sog or just keep the best female and do some lst so heres some pics of setup and the 10 day old plant and one of the 1 day old one of 6 which all look about the same

Not a bad looking setup. Seems your wasting alot of light thou. Those bulbs should be within a few inchs of the plants.
What K value do your bulbs have?

the bottom 8 are 6500k next 4 up are 5500k and top4 are 4100k but i have a bunch of 6500k ordered and i have enough 2700k to fill all the sockets in regards to wasting light the bottom 4 are with in 2 inches and the next set up are like 8 inches and the top ones are on now just for some extra light but will eventually give light to sides and bottom of plant and i am currently wiring up a set of screw in cfls to hang i think i am doing good but i dont want to screw anything up as this is my first grow and its reall only gonna be a very small grow just for my use but anything u can help with i would appreciate it

the light are actually outside security lights that i found when a property got cleaned out i put some up on my house and gave away like 40 of them and kept like 20 of them so they were free and work so cant beat that deal and the bulbs are like 1.25 each so there cheap

well heres a update i had to take some lights out due to thefact that they were getting very noisy so now there is only four lights in there at the moment which is really 8 bulbs they were repositioned so that there is one on each wall now and are only 2 inches above the plants its all going good so far but will be better when i get the top 2 screw in cfl's going i will leave the side lights and add to them as well when i get new ballasts camera wont load off the card so working on that and will have pics up soon

i am also looking into putting some pig shit in with my potting soil i made up a mixture for last years pig shit from the veggie garden it is mixed with straw and i put a little bit of hardwood ash in i looked it up and it says its is good for it but what does everybody think will it hurt or help

so heres a few new pics the big one which is at day 13 is looking a little weird can anybodytell me if something is wrong or is it doing ok
it looks droopy but otherwise ok to me and as you can see one of the small ones leaves look weird is this normal or what i am hoping to get alot of help but not alot yet come on ppl let the info flow

The pig shit should be a good idea. I wouldn't mix a whole lot in with it. You don't want to over do it. If you are doing that for nutes you maybe better off going to wal-mart and getting some Miracle grow plant food. They are usually pretty inexpensive and you will be sure what you are giving you plants. Don't worry about the droopy on yet. It might be droopy a little. But you shouldn't have to give them any nutes until about week 3 (usually).

Being a noob myself alot of what I say is what I've read. So if I remember most people top around the 4th or 5th node.

On the pig shit, if you have nutes I wouldn't mix anything in your soil. You may end up with to much of something and do more harm than good.

so as far as my seeds go they were all bagseed and there is 5 now but i think one of the little ones isnt going to make it so i will be left with 4 total including the big one which is like 10 days older than the small ones what are my odds of getting female plants and are there any ways to figure out which is female like flowering early them putting back into veg so i dont waste my time and first grow on males

I asked the same question. You can flower and convert back to veg but it will stress your plant. It will take at least a week to show flower and a week to convert back to veg. It is not recomended.

I also am useing bagseed and out of the 13 that sprouted I have 8 females, cut down 2 males and 1 hermy

well we dont wanna strees them out so i will just leave them and hope for the best i guess next time i get fem seeds

i have been having some heat issues and just wondering if anybody can give me some tips on getting the temp dow again its been about 85 steady and i think thats why my plant is starting to droop
