damn way to go and do it right. I have a fedder consumer grade indoor dual hose unit, and when it gets hard reset, the temperature it was set to is reset to the default value. If you can find the product manual or white paper on the manufacturers website it'll tell you, otherwise, don't hesitate to email the company.

-What have you done before this grow? either way, very good job doing research as you've removed much of the headache of trial and error. sounds like you're damn close to plug and play.

Thanks for the info. I will look into fedder and see if soleus will respond to an e-mail inquiry.

I must say I am taking the project very seriously. It's my first grow and I'm investing a lot of time and money so I want to make sure it goes relatively well.

Thanks!

Hey man looks good so far. I am looking to setup almost the exact same thing as you but the Ebb & Gro with 48 pots and 3200 watts. I wasnt aware that there problems with the 1/2" tubes, so I'm very interested to see how this turns out, it could save me a few headaches before I start :D Good luck and keep the pics comin

Thanks. I'm trying to learn a lot in a short amount of time. Hopefully I won't screw up the first one too badly.

I was doin the math on the res today and realized that for 30 pots at 2 gal/pot that would be 60 gal (plus 2 more the controller) so I don't think the 45 gal trash can or even the 55 gal reservoir by Ebb & Gro is going to cut it. I'm going to see if I can't find a stand up res or something else suitable that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. You might also be interested in this how to on building a controller: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=92963 it has some good tips about setup as well.

I'll keep you posted as i progress.

New AC unit ordered. I emailed Soleus and they confirmed that the unit will return to the same setting when unplugged and plugged back in so I ordered it today. I got the Soleus PH4-12R-01 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Heater, Dehumidifier with Heat Pump Technology (LX-150) for $550. Shipping is 7-9 days so the waiting begins. Hopefully it gets here before the 30 day return comes up on the unit I already bought.
