First grow, 400 watt MH/HPS, bagseed

I understand about frustrations over lack of feed back.I have my first under a 400w hps but I don't have a hood like yours.Mine is very plain and much smaller.I have it just 12 inches off the tops and monitor it every hour or so for the last month.no burn but I finally cut the lighting to 12/12 and am now in my 2nd week.the start I'm using is from seed which after much butchery I am left with one very nice plant with an indo look about it.As I said this is my first run and I wanted to start out with something I wouldn't freek out over if I killed it.I use floramicro flora gro and flora bloom.any idea how many plants I can raise under this one 400 w hps.forgive me if I jump around alittle but I'm new to all of this including the computer,so I'm not really even sure what I am needing to know.Maybe I'll know more after I am able to smoke some of my first finished to gain some confidence.

well man the amount of plants you can grow under that 400 all depends on your growing style. u could use SOG,SCROG it depends on a lot. i personally wouldnt grow more then 8-10 unless ur doing sea of green. mine will hit one foot and ill turn them to 12/12. once they show sex cull out the males, kill my male clones that came off the ones in the closet. my plants shouldnt reach more then 3 feet tall is what im aiming for. im gunna chop the bottom 1 foot of growth.:leaf:
