That looks good, i was actually going to get one, and place it on the back wall for extra light, but ended up never getting it, but what ever works for you, i like your idea, but you will need some CFL's for the top lighting

Oh it will, but they will stretch out, thats why i was takin about taking the hood off, so you can hang it even lower, you dont want the plants to stretch, you want them short, bushy, and tight node spacing

Ah, is it okay for them to stretch at the beginning phases like..

For the time until they hit the top of the bottom notch?

Also, I went to walmart again and found some of those tube lights I was looking at lying around on some random isle, turns out they are only $10/pop

Went ahead and grabbed 2 of them along with a light timer.

Might grab 2 more further down the road.

Posted a pic of the setup.

only downside is those tubes made my temp jump up about 4 degrees in just a few mins, I'm sitting around 75 now, but thats probably because my roommates put the heater on like 85 last night.

Looks good, those will be great for when they get bigger, you should really lookin into at least a couple CFL's for top lighting, i see alot of potential in this grow, im kinda excited for it haha

The only thing is, it looks like these guys are putting out a shitload of heat, just checked and it went up like 10 degrees, might end up using these tubes for something else.

I stuck a huge ass fan below the cabinet blowing upward, hoping that will cool it down.

If not, I have cheap cabinet lights!

I have some CFL bulbs, I just don't have any way to mount them yet, been looking around for those plug in screw mounts but I haven't had any luck, going to try some other places this weekend, its not too high on my priority list right now as I am still in the very beginning stages.

Yea but how would I mount the CFL bulbs? Do they sell wall plug fixtures?

I don't have space for a lamp, and I can't really drill holes in my cabinet.
Get a power strip and some of those outlet/light bulb adapters - about 3. Plug them into the power strip evenly and then use some double-stick tape on the back of the power strip to stick it up to the back or side of the cabinet.

I've used a powerstrip in kind of the same way but I've hung mine instead of double stick taping it. Here's a pic of kind of what I'm talking about.

Ah, yea that looks nice actually, I'll have to see what I can find when I go to the store later.

If it looks like these lights are causing my temp to be around 80, should I still use them pre-flower? (Its normally 70)

Hmmm, I'm not sure. My temp on my plants has always been about 88 to 95 degrees. Just depends on the time of year. I live in the desert so the summer months really get the temp up there. Haven't had a problem yet.

Well fuck me I've been worrying for nothing then.

I thought over 80 was a no/no.

Also I found a clip on desk light that I can throw on when I need a little bit more when I'm flowering.

So thats an additional 2700k 1700 lumens.

My roommates came home when I had like 20 boxes of lights and shit all over my floor and my door was open, so they were like 'hey wut ru doing?' but they don't care at all so its not really a stealth grow anymore, I'm just going to keep it in that cabinet so I can have darkness.

So with max lighting potential I have a grant total of 7830 lumen for my 2.5'x2'x1' grow space.

Here are more pics just because I like my fisheye lens..

I can clip the desk light to bottom of the door and close it with all that light trapped in there.

I just want these motherfuckers to grow some leaves or something so I have something to look at after all this damn work and money.. lol

Yea, I was digging around in my laundry room trying to find some screws in my toolbox and I stumbled upon my first aid kit!

Took the mylar blanket and lined the back side of my cabinet with it, when the door is closed its bright white because it reflects the doors (which are white).

One other thing. . . Get a timer for your AG and lights. You're gonna need it when you go to flower. Also, I have noticed in my space that it helps to at least be able to shut off the lights for a little bit at a time because if your temps are getting higher your girls will look droopy. They come back if the lights are off for a bit. I do 18 hrs on, 6 hrs off, just to give them a rest. Think of them like people. Most people can't sleep in the light so they need some dark time to rest. I can't imagine trying to go (or grow) for 24 hrs a day without some rest.

Yea I have a light timer with 2 ports, but I am faced with a problem.

All of my cords are ground-free (probably not very good, but whatever cheap extension cords)

My timer has a ground on it.

I have 1 cord coming out from my cabinet, I can't plug my timer in inside..

so I have my timer in the wall socket.. but.. that means when the timer goes off the pumps will too..

is that going to be an issue later on?

I'm assuming it will, because my roots should always be oxygenated.

I'm thinking the easiest solution would just be to wire another cord for the lights, but I already have enough shit in the way..

I tried using a power strip but there wasn't much room and it had a ground also.

I destroyed the packaging of the timer so I cant take it back and get another one, but I think I'm just going to have to bite that expense and find one without a ground if I can.

EDIT: went to check on my seedlings after I ate lunch and...

I have green life-force!!

and if anyone was wondering about the label..

I had labeled my seeds fast and slow because of the germination rate, then one of them died on me, so I put OG on the original =]

Well if it's an AG Pro 200, you should be able to put the lights and pump on a 24 Hr period. You don't have to have the pump on all the time if you get a little air pump from a pet store, like petsmart, you can pick up a cheap one for like 6.00 and an air stone for like 1.00. Use that to keep the roots oxygenated, which you should do anyway, even when the pump is on. It will help you from getting root rot. If you want the pump on all the time but not the lights, you can get a figure 8 cord from like radio shack. And just plug that into the timer and put the figure-8 part into where the light plug is at the base of the hood. Just google "figure-8 cord" and you'll get all kinds of web sites showing you where you can buy them. I think I got my timer and my cord from Amazon.com.

Yeah man if you check out my pics you can see that I have a 15 gallon pump in the front with airstone.

I am running 24/0 pump on right now.

I also have a light timer also,

but thanks for your input.
