As titled stated im going to attempt my first grow. All i want is 2 plants..so my question is i was gonna make a grow box..and line the insides with reflectors, and use t5 lights on the sides and then on the top a single mh fixture maybe 75 to 100 watts...now i know the mh would be the best in the long run but, wat if i used plant grow lights that emit just blue, and orange. for veggative, and flowering...would this be enough..im not looking for a huge harvest...

Just buy a AGRO bulb suit for veg/blooming

Dude, honestly, from the sound of it your setup sounds more than fine. I have a friend who also only has like 1 or 2 plants growing at a time and all he has is a few cfl's and his plant is starting to flower now... My opinion is you will be fine, but if you're worried about it you can always get a few cfl's as well.

well i was gonna use t5's actually..and then get 2 plant grow bulbs...for the blue spectrum, and orange..

Well I recommend cfl's - 2 or 3 of em will deffinately produce the results u want if you're only lookin to grow a few plants. If you do end up doing what you're saying be warned - Plant grow bulbs can cause heat stress if they are too close to your plant - they can seriously fuck up your leaves so just make sure they are a good distance

yes you can get away with a broad spectrum light and use the same for vegging and flowering if you want to do it cheaper.

Another option to building a box is to buy a grow tent or bud box (ebay/google it). these are a fairly cheap light proof canvas tent, black outside, white inside, complete with ventilation at the bottom and top for fitting an exhaust system, brackets for hanging lights and typically a removable waterproof floor for spills. They come in all different sizes.
